Yes but I was kinda expecting to see you ride in the drone shots. They seemed a bit random to me now. I understand having the drone film you is again a step up but there are some drones that have tracking software. I don't know if you can apply it with these speeds but they are used a lot for...

Mike, just make sure you don't leave this forum. I don't have a RV, sandrail, off-road truck or what ever but I read everything you write. Everything you do and specifically the profound explanation you provide us with is gold. It's generally applicable for all engineering/fixing stuff. I don't...

Mike, two things: 1) You do all that in an hour? That would be a days work for me. 2) I see you didn't disconnect the turbo from the manifold. How do you make sure no drill shavings mess up your turbo?

That would be one of the main reasons to go for a rotiserie. Working overhead while scrapping things in your eyes is not fun. I've a lot of welding to do underneath so I guess my path is clearer. I understand with such a nice chassis your path is leaning towards a cart.

hot rod garage in the works. 38x56

May I ask how much that shear set you back? What are the specs? And what are you going to use it for? I kinda ran into something similar a while back and bought it without seeing it first. It's 4 foot wide, 3mm steel cut capacity. It set me back 1500. Used it a bit here and there but I guess...

How is it that people can move so fast. In the time you build this house and arranged the garage and got the project started I did… nothing? Ok not nothing but I'm stuck in discussions with builders not knowing how to do a renovation of a 1969 house up to new standards (energy efficient).

Thank you so much for you additional explanation on the clearance. To measure the play you just rock the hub by hand and check the min/max values on the dial indicator, right? Thanks again Mike.

Damn Mike, Can I be your apprentice? I love how well prepared and thorough your work is. The bar is set high where it should be. Thanks for all the pictures. Can you explain the measurement of pre-load with the micrometer? I'm having some trouble understanding what's going on there.

    My Single Dutch Delight

Small steps but the benchtop mill is operational again. It's not powerfull or rigid in any way however fine for aluminium and small stuff. I've replaced the single glass window with tripple glazing. Took me about a week with a couple of hours here and there between home schooling and working...

You have an amazing space there Toon. And I'd like to thank you for the tip on the heating pump for the degreaser. I actually have one which I stripped out of our house a couple of years ago. Happy that I didn't threw it out now I hope to mount it soon.

Thanks for the update! A question though? How is the parts washer holding up? I'm having some issues with the pump that started leaking. The plastic housing starts to leak as soon as there is any pressure on it. How is yours holding up?

I think it's time to completely isolate the asylum from the outside world. True ambient conditioning should be in place: temperature, humidity, pressure. Then you'd finaly have created your own biosphere. It's the last piece of the puzzle.
