Thanks for the tip on the existance of polishing machines. I didn't go all in and acquired a set to be used on a hand drill but it was way better then doing it by hand as I used to do. I'll keep an eye out for a real one although Baldor is not a common brand here.

Polishing with a machine is so much nicer than by hand. I instantly got flashbacks when I thought about the polishing I'd done 20 years ago. I had sore fingers for days (maybe weeks). And now it looks beter than it ever did.
