    Found a relic.

I still have mine. and still use them. I put a glove on if I need to squeeze hard. I am thinking of buying a 3d printer and all this talk made me think of making handles for them!!

    Found a relic.

I have those. But mine have not held up that well. The plastic handles have broken off. This is likely fromme dropping them or trying to crimp things that are to big for the pliers. :( I do have tons of electrical connectors and solder and many many other things in my electrical box with radio...

How to deal with broken Pella window pane?

Based on cleaning 100's of thousands of windows in my window cleaning days. I like Pella windows. They always functioned well and the mechanisms always work and the glass is flat and smooth and I never encountered glass debris on Pella. Andersons Im not a huge fan of. The glas tends to be wavy...

    Homemade table saw table

It looks great but curious why you didnt make it so the table saw top dropped into the table. The way you have it now you lose the thickness of the table top in your depth of cut. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Drywall - How Would You Fix This?

I had the hepa and bags before also. The bags along with the hepa filter restricted the air so much that even with it just running open the exhaust was hot which means your motor isn't getting cooled enough. Switched to the dust deputy, got rid of the bags and did keep the hepa just because I...

Drywall - How Would You Fix This?

If your going to use something like this you need to buy a dust deputy for your vacuum. I just finished some drywall and was not aware of them. I was cleaning my filter every 15 min. With the dust deputy doing wood dust clean up I have not cleaned my filter in a month of pretty heavy use.

Cold combustion air intake making basement cold

I am no HVAC expert but I know on my High efficiency furnace that the intake and exhaust for the furnace is the 2 PVC pipes going into the actual furnace. I Do not see what the regular ducting is for. But I am curious to learn if there is a viable reason.

    Who refinishes hardwood floors?

I redid mine on the previous house. All the advice above is sound. If you do have some warpage/water damage it will depend on how bad it is if you can smooth out that area. I had one spot by my furnace/water heater room from a previous leak. I was able to sand it flat but took some doing. One...

Window A/C unit vs Garage door

My last house I bought had one mounted in the wall. I was like WTF at first..... Then it got hot and I loved that thing. I haven't put one in my new garage yet. But I will.

Anybody have experience with encapsulated crawlspaces?

Ummm. I had alot of prep to do like flattening out the dirt and cleaning out old debris. As far as doing the vapor barrier. Id say in the 20-40 hour range working by myself. I had alot of supports i had to go around which takes a long time. If it had been like my current house. With only 5...

Anybody have experience with encapsulated crawlspaces?

The crawl space was around 1200 square feet if i recall. I actually saw the receipt in my email account when I was cleaning it out yesterday. 6 Mil Crawl Space Liner, DiamondBack $140.00 12 Mil Vapor Barrier 1000 Sq Ft, DiamondBack™ $250.00 Waterproof Seam Tape™ for Crawl Space Vapor...

Anybody have experience with encapsulated crawlspaces?

Be VERY weary of crawlspace encapsulation companies and radon companies. I found that many, at least in my area are quick start up companies and dont have that much experience and cut corners everywhere. I feel I did a better job than the companies I talked to. It was not that hard to do. Plan...

Anybody have experience with encapsulated crawlspaces?

Cant find any from when I had finished. And have sold the house last year. Totally took care of the musty smell. I also installed a radon system with this. All vents where closed. and a humidifier installed. I did this all myself and did have a radon mitigation expert inspect my work afterwards...

Unvented Crawl Space Requires Mech. Venting?

Hrmm thats odd. From my experience crawl space professionals say you should have it encapsulated and sealed all outside vents. And to condition the space like you would a basement. and to have a vent connecting the living space to the crawlspace so air can travel between.

    Fiberglass Liner in Trunk Line

Replacing the ductwork was actually pretty easy. Its insulating it that takes the most time. I cleaned the round vents with a duster ball hooked up to my drillhttps://photos.app.goo.gl/2XX4Rz0ep871tfk32 and then rinsed them out. The elbows were not the bending tab type. They had section that...
