New Matco 3/8" 12 volt cordless impact wrench

Nice! Pics would be greatly appreciated. I agree that Matco's impacts are more suited to automotive work and they are generally tougher than stuff from Home depot.

my favorite HF purchase this year

Yellow ball peen 5pc hammer set for $16. Incredible. I bought some gloves, thin black ones with rough rubber dipped hands ( not shiny type but matte black). I think they are discontinued now, but boy they are the best mechanic gloves ever, wish I bought more than 2 pairs. Also I really like...

    Best Headlight(to wear on head)

Petzyl is just a tried and true headlamp, I usually reccomend the medium priced ones. They have very high lumens, but are still simple and lightweight. If they are good enough for rock climbers they are good enough for other purposes.

Thoughts on life after "SK day"

It is a good excuse to buy on these days. I buy used frequently as well. If anyone has any ideas on the next one, and I hope there is a next, let us know!

Super-Exciting News for SK Day!! 9/23 and 9/24

I would wayyy rather have the Snappy ratchet though, I like the easy thumb lever vs SK dial that practically is impossible for on the fly direction change. It's almost like a two ********, and sometimes is impossible if hands are even a little greasy. I think if SK stepped up thier game on the...

Super-Exciting News for SK Day!! 9/23 and 9/24

I know you are posting your Snap-On set to prove me wrong somewhat, I knew my prices were for individual socket rails/ not accurate. But still, $499, thats probably before shipping and tax. That is almost a $400 diff. vs the SK $160 shipped. Also I guess I was right saying SK was 3 times...

    Show your new tool arrivals

SK 48 1/4 set, grab and go case! Very neat. 1/4 is an awesome drive size for small bolts on motorcycles (when I'm not using an impact of course).

Super-Exciting News for SK Day!! 9/23 and 9/24

It was also a true bargain. Considering Matco, cornwell, mac, snap etc is all tripple + the price. Example: 12pc Snap-On 5-15mm 1/4 deep costs $246. times this by about 4+ socket sets SAE metric deep + shallow =$900 plus ratchet, adapters, etc... = $1200? lol This SK set costs me about...

    Battery Tender recommendation

I use the jr and use the direct quick plug on a motorcycle. Very clean and easy because I don't have to remove the tail section everytime.

Which do you use more 3/8 or 1/2 impact?

X 100000 I use impacts (3/8 mostly cordless) on anything I possibly can. Using a standard hand ratchet feels like a chore!

    Need new socket/ratchet set...

The black Stanley socket sets are top notch. I still use the ratchets when I want a quick release. The black sockets are very nice and high quality too.

The 1/4 sk 48 pc set that I bought on sk dayz came with one. I don't see myself using it sadly but it works and looks good!

Batt tender jr works perfectly fine on small motorcycle batts.
