Thanks, I used a color matched (brown colored) Clopay 14x14 garage door on the front of my shop to match the house. I was more worried about it fading the color in spots on the door. In the evenings we’ll have it up a lot I'm sure. Easiest thing is to put those two on a switch beside the garage...

Hi guys, I’m putting high bay LED lights up in my shop. Is there a switch made that will shut the lights off that are above the garage door when it’s rolled up? When door is in the up position, it covers 2 of the high bay lights and is pretty close to them. Or should I just wire those 2 lights...

Hi guys. My shop concrete has cured for 45 days. It was not sealed. It was power troweled. I’ve ordered the ArmorPoxy ArmorClad kits. I am planning to rent a grinder with a diamond bit. Do need to just rough up the surface a bit? Or how much grinding is needed?

Trusses going up! Thats how it sits today. They are sheeting the roof and the walls. THey started construction on the building itself a week ago.

Pad is poured and looks great. Bathroom plumbing in. Walls are going up. Were getting excited. Been a few months waiting on weather and contractors.

Building my 40x60x16 shop + lean-to in KS We moved back to KC from Texas (3 years there for work). We moved into a residential area that has a small HOA but not bad. Has a an enclosed size restriction of 40x60. I'm pushing the limits by adding the lean-to but all was approved...lol.

I believe I've settled on standard 4 bulb fixtures with T8 bulbs for my 15' ceilings. At lowes, the high bay T5 lights are listed for 30-40 feet and the high bay t8s are listed for 25-35 feet. I was looking at either the 8' T8 fixtures (uses 4 T8 48" bulbs) or the Utilitech 48" fixture with 4...

For my 15.5' ceiling, would you recommend a normal T8 fluorescent fixture? I just didn't want to have to put in 40+ fixtures. I can look into 8' fixtures to cut down on the number of them. On the Lowes high bay fixture at 15000-18000 lumens, I was looking at 20 fixtures to get the foot candles...

Thank you! I decided not to go with the foil/bubble wrap. I found several suppliers who offer wide rolls of coated insulation specifically made to install in pole buildings. It was 4k just for bubble wrap. The insulation quote for the wide rolls for the while building was just over 5k. That is...
