Ok to put kitchen and living room lights on same breaker?

It is a brand new circuit so the only things that will be on it are what I put on it.

Ok to put kitchen and living room lights on same breaker?

A light draw calc I found for 100watt light showed it at 0.83amps * 12 == 10amps and a ceiling fan is usually aund 2 amps so maybe a 15 amp circuit would be fine.

Ok to put kitchen and living room lights on same breaker?

I have 9 recessed lights, 2 hanging lights and a ceiling fan/light combo. Im not sure that all of those would fit on a 15 amp circuit, should I up it to 20amps just incase?

Ok to put kitchen and living room lights on same breaker?

My addition has a large (16x28) room which is being used for the kitchen and living room with only a 1/2 wall separating them. Is there anything in the NEC to keep me from putting the lights for both sections on the same breaker? Kevin

Good source for arc fault breakers?

I need four 20amp arc fault breakers for my addition and at $35 each from HD they get expensive quick compared to regular breakers. Does anybody know of a cheaper source? Amazon was actually more expensive than HD.

Why do smoke detectors have to be wired in sequence?

Ok, thanks. The main reason Im asking is that I need to add smoke detectors to my 2nd floor due to an addition (and thus the fire marshall says I need to be brought up to code in the old part of the house. I currently have one at the top of the stairs (marked O) and need to wire new ones in...

Why do smoke detectors have to be wired in sequence?

The instructions I found via google always said they were in sequence so that only 2 wires were in each junction box.

Why do smoke detectors have to be wired in sequence?

Why do they have to be wired in sequence instead of outwards from a central point? I.e: In Sequence: S - S - S Not: S | S - S -S | S Since all reds need to be tied together I don't see why it matters. Can someone explain this? Thanks.

3way wiring conundrum for ceiling fan/light

I would figure either to S3 or to the fan and if to the fan then tie the hot black to the black on 'S' with S's white tying to whatever colored wire controls the fan.

3way wiring conundrum for ceiling fan/light

I am wiring an addition and ran into a strange case. The bedroom is going to have a ceiling fan/light combo unit that I want the light on a 3way switch but the fan on a slider. I can have power going to either switch (although right now its run to the 3way that is not next to the fan slider). I...
