    Anyone familiar with gate openers?

well i didn't want to do any damage to my driveway. i didn't event want saw cut loops in it to begin with but i believe at that time it was either that or photo eyes and that would have been an annoyance. I'm actually considering cutting out the dead loop any trying to repair the saw cut as best...

    Anyone familiar with gate openers?

i got 1 quotes that were 1000-1200 and one that was 3000. that was a hard pass for me lol. i've always wanted to replace a loop but this is overall just a better solution.

    Anyone familiar with gate openers?

well i got it installed and i'm pretty happy with it. it works great, its on full sensitivity right now and opens if i waive my shovel over it so i might turn it down a bit. overall, i saved over $800 and don't have to worry about cut wires anymore (at least for the exit).

    Anyone familiar with gate openers?

so if i'm understanding this correctly, this gets buried next to the driveway? if so then i might just go with this. i already have conduit running down the driveway. the 5mph thing isn't a huge deal. my driveway is over 200' long so its not hard to get to 5mph if needed.

    Anyone familiar with gate openers?

I thought i stated that but yes, its right where it comes out of the concrete/expxy. i'll dig a little tomorrow and see if they left any slack, i might be able to cobble it together but that CP-4 is looking nice.

    Anyone familiar with gate openers?

So have a dual swinging gates with Liftmaster LA-400's. system is about 15 years old but works fine. just recently my exit loop went out and found out that the wires broke right where they come out of the concrete. its broken off flush so i can't even repair it. Its something i could probably...

    Any scissor lift experts?

i believe this actually has hydro drive. only thing that i find a little annoying is the single joystick control. wouldn't be as bad if it didn't have that stupid lock out collar you have to lift up to drive. other than that its a solid unit.

    Any scissor lift experts?

so i ended up buying this one. its not the 19' like i wanted but it has been properly maintained and certified safe and operational since it was for a painters union worker. it also had new batteries put in 3 weeks ago. looks like it was very well taken care of and doesn't need anything other...

    Electrical planning

i should have asked but i assume they want me to follow current NEC. for the distance, its the run to the barn from the main, not between outlets.

got it. i thought it was only for wet locations. thats how it is in my house that was built in 2008.

    Electrical planning

well just spoke to the city. they don't require anything specific said just to follow NEC. wants me to just make a basic plot plan with where there power is coming from, AWG, conduit size, distance and locations for outlets and lights. for this situation, i have 2-2-4-6 aluminum MHF. would this...

    Electrical planning

Luckily I have SMUD. my main panel is 400A. I'm sure half this bs has to do with T24. last time i had to deal with that it was such a PITA. I'll call the city and see what the deal is.

    Electrical planning

thank you. this will be in a barn, not an actual garage and roll up door will be manually operated with a chain but having an outlet for the future is easy enough. is 1 outlet for 2 doors (side by side) acceptable? would i also have to have drywall finished?

    Electrical planning

So the framing is underway and I'm thinking I'd like to get the electrical permit going. I defiantly don't know where every single outlet will be at the moment but would like to at lease get the panel in and maybe a couple outlets that I do know. I spoke to my architect and he told me I'd have...

Above 1200 Sq/FT Its finally coming together

Well after 2 years of going back and forth with the architect and city we finally broke ground. Foundation and slab are done, lumber arrived today and framing should begin Monday. Trusses are on order, just need to sort out the siding and roofing. it will be 34x37 and will open into that shed...

    Best hand cleaner.

Ive tried a few but fast orange as been good for me. i even use it to clean extremely greasy parts. the pump style is convient when you have greasy/oily hands. i hate anything that you have to dig out of a tub.
