What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Re: What did you do "IN" your garage today? Tossing the old ski rack back on might not seem like a lot after going up the hill for 28 years. But when last season ended far to early with this almost making me useless from my ******* down it's sure made for a nerve racking night...

I did consider it and it does make for a good option. But in my opinion there's few ways for a filter to use it with the garage door closed, so the heater will kick on more or the blazing hot outside air will heat the garage up in the summer.

Correct, when I had the 1 filter attached it was fine. However it wasn't very useful in tight or in closed places, such as welding in the Rally Car. So I wanted something that could get into tight areas and when the single fan was more restricted from a makeshift box with similar sized hole as a...

Not exactly a welding project, but the start of a project for when welding. I wanted something that could easily be broken down and stored without taking up too much space and I didn't want to spend much money on it. So far I only have $15 additional invested into it from two 20x20x1 3M Filtrete...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Added a A502HHW timer in series with my garage heater thermostat because I kept forgetting to turn it off when it would rarely run due to how well the garage retains heat.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Re: What did you do "IN" your garage today? Attempted to lower the noise ruckus caused by the air compressor. It went down from about 80db to 70db according to my highly unofficial phone App. Guess I should order another 2 sets of acoustic foam

Looks great, my co-worker has had a really great setup the last few years that we even brewed my wedding beer with. He and a few friends have an amazing operation going that cooks up 20 gallon batch in 6 hours. They've recently automated it with the Building Automation controls we sell/install...

Here's a couple of my novelty projects. First up was a bench after having a large collection of trashed snowboards from a Ski shop I use to work at. Next is the result of making room from having a spare seat and EMT laying around.

LED bulbs that successfully work with electric Garage Door Openers

Just saw this reply, sorry for the late response. But for any others who stumble upon the post I used 2 socket adapters and added another 4' dual LED fixture between the garage door and that pesky pole and then threw in 2 screw in LEDs to the socket adapters. I don't recall who made the 2nd...

Trying to pick a MIG welding mask

I know it's been discussed many times over the past 6 months here. But FWIW for the next guy who stumbles into here I also have 2 of the HF auto darkening helmets and they've done well. My only dislike is that the drop down henge on both of them tended to be sloppy and eventually broke. I ended...

Most Powerful Electric Cordless Handheld Blower?

FWIW here's my $0.02. I have the Ego Mower and trimmer, they've both worked great over the past 15 months we've had them and I like the potential for the other tools their batteries will accommodate. I too have a Milwaukee M18 blower that I just happened to see for really cheap last year during...

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

Not really sure what the rest was. But she's much smaller then our friends 120 pure blood Yellow lab and another friends 105 pound pure blood German Shepherd. We tried the DNA tests and it only came up with 3 generations of those 2 breeds and Chow... either way she's awesome when not in puppy...

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

Here's our 6 month old German Shepherd/Yellow Lab/something. She's still too curious in the garage right now for me to be calm when she's in there.

Anyone make a work top for their Harbor Freight 44" Box?

I got the 44" over the 56" for more drawers to separate tools by type and metric vs SAE. The sides are also great for added categorized drawer space

    Galvanized pipe for compressor run?

And where did you assume that I ever said that I have ever seen EMT used for pressurized pipe or that it is appropriate to use?

    Galvanized pipe for compressor run?

Actually I'm a controls contractor who's around sites new and old for the last 11 years. We just always use EMT and use rigid very rarely except where it's required for explosion proofed spaces.

    Galvanized pipe for compressor run?

Got it, the "I used galvanized electrical conduit" threw me off and I assumed it was EMT and not rigid.

For those using EMT Conduit what did you do for joining then ends?

    Garage heater

If it's worth it to you or the next guy that comes across this thread, I use to use a model similar to the Dyna-Glo RMC-LPC200DG in my old garage which was a very roomy 2 car. It did a great job at heating the place up very quickly and I often wore jeans and a t-shirt when it was 20 and below...

Anyone make a work top for their Harbor Freight 44" Box?

Out of curiosity are you just looking for the mobility facor? My only reason for not doing just a top was because I wanted the extra work space and didn't want to be banging on the tool chest causing stuff inside to be thrown around. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4903547
