Dogs are sleeping off all the excitement.

At Veedub and Retro show this weekend. Not much here. A couple of dozen stalls and not much else. At least I didn't pay for the tickets. Loads of space in the camping field. Nearly the same colour as mine.

I got a decent mid range quality one. The cheap ones are thinner steel and virtually bendable by hand. The chome is normally the first thing to go, though it's not living outside so hopefully it'll last a bit longer. Triple chrome plated ones were £200 ($267) more. I don't think I've seen a NOS...

There was not a lot of space to get all 3 VWs in the shot.

I had a submit a piccy to VW Heritage for their promo to show it was an actual person that won the competition.

She does a lot more shouting out of the window that i do.

I think she was trying to threaten a dog sat in a car a few parking spots away.

I don't care that people don't like red painted brake calipers, but it looks a lot better than rusty ones. The discs could probably be doing with being replaced. I did fit them in 1997 so i suppose i've got my money out of them. :ROFLMAO:

Missus made a smoothie last night and Lucy begged the whole time she was drinking it. Eventually she ended up with the pleasure of licking out the cup. Its possible to walk a little further round the reservoir's bank now the level has dropped more.

Yeah, our conservatory has been 37c or so. This is the max temperature my garage loft had reached on thursday. So glad i insulated it as it was mid to high 40s up there the first summer we were here. Quite a reasonable temperature out this morning. Rain overnight again, though no thunderstorms.

Just found out i won a £500 ($660) wishlist competition from VW Heritage parts centre. 😁 Looks like my bug is gonna get a new front bumper after years of trying to keep the chrome from peeling off this one.

Another local woodland has gained an interpretation board. Had the dogs out for a walk in the woods before it got too hot for them. Still 23c (73f) at 7am though there was a bit of a breeze.

Our caravelle came with nearly new Continentals when i bought it and you could throw it into a corner and it'd stick like sh!t to a blanket. When they needed replacing i priced them up at £140 ($185) a corner fitted so went for budget ones at a 1/3 the price as money was tight and the difference...
