    Texas 24'X30' Metal Shop Build

22 yds. I don't have the price broken out right now. Contractor is Miller's Metal Buildings out of Burleson, TX. I know of 3 other buildings they have built and they looked good. Welded square tubing building. The threshold is good...and there is a brick ledge along the front face there too.

    Texas 24'X30' Metal Shop Build

Well...after a stormy few days in which 18 tornados came thorugh the area, we have dried out and got some work done. Forms are up, rebar is 90% in, conduit and plumbing chases are in. One question...do I need to sleeve the white PVC sink drain pipe? The grey PVC will have Pex running through...

    Texas 24'X30' Metal Shop Build

 Yeah...300 miles and I make that drive WAY too much. Like I said, no lift. I've got floor jacks and creepers. Go old school with it. :eyecrazy: I would have loved to match the pitch of the roof. One quote increased by $4K :shocking: for it, the other said he doesn't go...

    Texas 24'X30' Metal Shop Build

Forms going in Monday, will give me a chance to re-route one sprinkler line that is gonna be at one of those corners. I have no need for 12-14' walls. Not going with a lift or RV. I just wish I had room to put one twice this size!

    Question about sheds

    12 X 14 also works. I wouldn't worry about standard lumber sizes.

    Vehicle Tool Storage

I took a plastic battery box and placed in the spot where a spare battery was designed to go. 09 GMC Sierra. Holds tow strap, ratchet straps, gloves and a tool roll of wrenches and screwdrivers. On long trips, I'll throw the 4 way and floor jack in the back of the truck.

    Sam's Pressure Washer

Have had it for 6 month now. Only trick I see, which is common with pressure washers, is to release the pressure from the hose before starting. And if it is cold, the choke seems to get over too far where it will sputter and stall before warming up. Just a quick push with my finger to hold...

Yes sir...I know Merkel well. Grew up in Lubbock, now working out here in the west-o-plex. I tend to wander off I-20 and up towards 180/380/or even 114 for a nice scenic drive.

1/3 has been put down. Design set. Only big issue I have is getting concrete poured. Guy is wanting to rent a pump truck ($800!!) I may talk to my neighbor to the East and ask to drive in on his pasture and chute it over the fence. I don't like the lidea of paying a bunch of money to make...

    When Ordinary Just Won't Do

Cool, but it isn't really functional. Just for looks. For the types of guys that drive big jacked up 1 Ton 4X4 diesels to work every day on pavement.

Met with the builder today. Everything should be a go...has a backlog of 5-6 weeks. The metal building business must be good here in Texas! :Twitch: Only issue I am going to have is getting concrete to the site. I don't want the truck on my current driveway (built with mesh). I may have to...
