    Makita vs Milwaukee cordless tools

I have used or owned all of the options. I enjoy my brushless Makita but the Milwalkee M18 stuff is pretty good too.

Re: Photobucket Just Screwed Me Real Hard I'm sure this has been mentioned somewhere else but why is GJ the only forum that ONLY accepts a URL to post a picture? Every other forum that I am on (a couple dozen) will let you upload photos from a device OR URL.

    Question about adding a header

I was going to start a new thread but remembered that I had this from a long while ago. I have not added the rear garage door yet but I am still making plans to do so eventually. My new question is in regards to insulating and covering the ceiling in drywall. I don't have a traditional...

Not sure on the HP rating on the lift master but many people use them for homes. Its nice to not have the opener overhead.

Got a quote on a new garage door today....

I called around and Sears was still the cheapest with the best R value. So, I ordered my door and it should be here and installed the second week of November (just in time for the cold) I got a 4000 series door rated at R13 installed for $1550 which includes removing my old door and...

Looking for some basement flooring ideas

My basement is rough finished. Concrete block wall and some partial walls built for a back room. I have a huge sectional couch, pool table, big screen TV, bar and workout area. The intention is a hangout area but I would like as little work as possible for cleanup. The floor was covered in...

Looking for some basement flooring ideas

I like the interlocking tiles like Racedeck but I am looking for other options. I ran the thought of doing our whole basement in Racedeck (or similar) but she wants something that isn't too shop-like (diamond plate or circles etc) I found that Racedeck sells carpet tiles but it is a bit...

    Question about adding a header

Thanks for the replies. I will get pics up as soon as I can. Its a brick house with an attached brick garage. The construction of the garage is fairly simple. Studs are 16" O.C., I added insulation and drywall last year (never finished the drywall) so taking it down wont be an issue. Im...

    How do you rotate tires???

Assuming all tires are the same size and non-directional: I look for cupping (usually on fronts) then those cross to the rear to offset the cupping. Rears come straight forward. If all tires look good then either front to back/back to front or cross front tor rear/rear to front.

    Question about adding a header

I will (if everything goes as planned) be adding a 1-car garage door on the back of my garage to be able to drive my jetski trailer into my back yard. I need to rough in an opening then cut the brick wall out. My question is: How do you add a header and studs/jack studs etc on a wall that...

That looks great. The insulation really did seem to help to. Not bad to have a 30 degree difference.

Swap Meet Snap-On finds and purchases

Those are pretty good finds. I have gotten luck on Ebay a few times. I scored a CDI 3/8 electronic torque wrench for $115 then a week later got a 1/2 drive Snap-on clicker 50-250 ft lbs for $100. I was ecstatic
