    Pot Light Wiring Question

You guys are great ! looked online at HD and found a bunch of sconces that will do the job and not stick out very far. This is a hallway that feels like you're walking to a dungeon. At the end is MY bathroom and the furnace room. When i find the exact ones i'll post a pic or two.

    Pot Light Wiring Question

Height is the issue - only about 6'4" (it's a hallway in the basement). I need something as flush as possible and with minimum depth requirement as there is wiring above. LED will help a lot with the heat. Looked at a few earlier on the Home Depot site - not cheap. Candles may be an option.

    Pot Light Wiring Question

Looking at the lighting below online. It's for a ceiling where there is minimal clearance above the light and these need only a little over 2" above. Being LED is a bonus because of the low heat dissipation. So my question is what is the AC wiring going to look like ? I assume the two wires go...

i've had that drill / impact set for maybe two years now. After feeling the quality of it i bought the weed wacker too match. Two batteries easily does 800' of edging and weighs nothing. Recently i bought the recip saw to match the set. Could not be happier.

Smallish Shop - Low Humidity In Winter

It's about 30% right now but we've had warmish weather so far this year. I will see it get around 20% when it gets cold here. It plays havoc on the guitars i have in here. I'm going to shop for a portable unit as suggested - might be the best option.

Smallish Shop - Low Humidity In Winter

So by small i mean 14x30. It's mostly a woodworking shop and my office. I spend a LOT of time out here. A few years ago i bought a HE furnace that is bigger than the shop needs (it may have gently fallen from a truck). I added a drum humidifier to it but in my mind the furnace does not run long...

How do I finish off customers tub surround ?

Yep. Damage is done. I'd do Durabond 90 and do NOT overdo it- it does not sand down easily. Expertise with the putty knife is needed here. "It's special formulation provides a high strength bond with low shrinkage that finishes with a hard, plaster-like surface when dry and is virtually...

Need advice - what to do about an uneven ceiling

Two words - resiliant channel. This is what saved our similar ceiling in our 1900ish home. You lose about 3/4" of height in the process.

    Grizzly sander motor diagnosis?

A lot of cap start motors also have a set of contacts run centrifugally. May be just dirty / burnt contacts. FYI had to check the spelling of centrifugally. Sounded like one of the words i've been known to invent.

Will 3/8 plywood sag on a ceiling?

Very interesting. I'm wondering, totally from a cost standpoint, if OSB would be an option.

Slight sag to foundation on my lil 1920 garage

I live in a small villiage of homes built in that era. The common opinion around here is "it took 100 years to get that litle bit out. it's not going anywhere in the next 100 years unless something has changed. "

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Changed all 20 4' T8 bulbs. I'm tired of buying them two or four at a time. At first it thought " those two look O/K - i'll save them " and then when i saw the brightness of all new ones ....

bad garage door or foundation issue?

It looks like a wood door to me and i'm betting it has a GDO attached to the centre with no top brace so that it has been warped over time.
