Grizz1963 said "Another rubbish night last night, seems to be a pattern, leaving me tired." Rian, life is too short to have any rubbish nights. I hope all is well and glad to see you have continued to find the motivation to keep calm and carry on. May you have a happy Christmas and a new year...

Is it possible that your flow rate is too high for the unit? Does it work better if you reduce the hot water flow?

I'm guessing guys like Andy can run circles around us because he runs Andy's Aluminum Melting Company (double A, MCO) and goes to those Zumba classes. Keep up the good effort with your health. You'll be running circles soon too! Sent from my iPad using Garage Journal

Agree. It doesn't cost you anything and people who have a difficult time accepting kind gestures must have been raised by a pack of wild animals. Domesticated animals are definitely more civilized. :lol_hitti Sent from my iPad using Garage Journal

Number 1. Can you find a metal plate long enough to support yhe vinyl and put it all on top of the electric sun? Might be faster than waiting for the real sun in the window. Another option might be a hair dryer or heat gun applied ever so gently. Sent from my LG-H918 using The Garage Journal...

Most power companies aren't structured to let their customers make money. In NJ, they will only buy back unused energy at wholesale which doesn't amount to that many beans. If the chicken industry pays for your chicken power, then more power to you. If your kitchen exhaust doesn't produce...

Mick, just noticed you have started a thread and I've subscribed. I'm already jealous about your shop size and your cars. Looking forward to reading it through to catch up (I was away from the GJ for a hot minute).

I imagine you could find a couple of bulbs that would work for indoor gardening, but if the existing LED lights are on all the time, the plants may get enough of the full spectrum to grow. I'm also kind of surprised more farms haven't gone full solar, but I imagine if the incentives from the...

Have you considered setting up an indoor garden in the chicken mansion? I imagine if it was loaded in one of your huge tanks, you could move it around. The environment does sound nice if there is enough light... Maybe just one of my zany ideas. I may have to bite the bullet and get a mew burner...

Bret, I do try to move at least two items to the appropriate container or location. It's unfortunate they don't give me an employee's discount. Bob, my wife told me my driveway needs to be bigger so we can park our cars off the street and not move one to get another out. Once I can save up a...

The only PVC I have is for drains and sump pump plumbing. I don't envy your St. Augustine grass (I thought it was weird the first time I saw a yard full of crabgrass in Jacksonville). Sure seems ironic that the irrigation is constantly trying to help the very vegetation that can bring its own...

My yard is small enough that I can manage to do most of the yardwork in about 90 minutes. It really depends on how long I let the yard go between mows. Your yard always appears pretty meticulous so you're doing well between crew visits. I thought the big box hardware stores had free delivery...

Even when I finish stupid yard work, I still feel a sense of accomplishment. Another one of my yard pests is the Rose of Sharon. It's ironic that my dad tries to grow them and I have them sprouting in places they shouldn't. RoundUp still wins.

Hey Bob, I've been away for a bit, but good to see you're still at it! I have been at war with an invasion of "Tree of Heaven" (Ailanthus altissima) around my home and found only 2 ways of eliminating it. Method #1 is to cover it cutting off its supply of sunlight. Method #2 is spray RoundUp...
