    the amazing scratchet......

I think the "patent pending" comment from kctyphoon was a joke from the show Scrubs, where the janitor, who invented knife wrench, would say things like "patent pending", "for kids", and a couple other things when he would bring out Knifewrench!! (patent pending).

what would you rather get craftsman or husky?

For the lower cost, but not junk tools, I go Gearwrench and Dewalt. I have been impressed by the quality of both their sets. I give a slight edge to the Dewalt sockets for the really nice knurling on them, but I like the Gearwrench ratchets better. I haven't had to use it yet, but if the...

    Gearwrench locking flex

Didn't notice, but I have one of the Armstrong Maxx locking flex head and really love it. I'm sure Gearwrench's (another from Apex tool group) will be really nice too.

Milwaukee M18 Fuel "One Key" Tools

I think it is pretty neat and probably well suited to companies where a foreman can then keep people from just running the equipment on full bore all of the time, but it is not of any real value to me. So, I am somewhere in between your two options.

Craftsman 1/4 drive ratchets stripping out

The only Craftsman 1/4 drive ratchet I have left is one of the full polish ones with the round handle (VR-44812). I worked at a Sears Hardware while I was in my senior year of high school and the manager let me trade a raised panel one in for it because I kept having to rebuild it. The full...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I have the M12 circular saw and very much like it. I bought it when CPO was giving a free 4.0 battery. I very much like the saw; I built a small deck with it recently cutting all of the 2x's we had with it (my friend cut anything thicker with a corded tool), the 4.0 battery held out for the...

How many inches deep are your benches?

Why not customize it to the length of your arm? Maybe + a few inches. You will be the one using it more than anyone else.

    Making a combination wrench board

maybe use something like a Kreg pocket hole jig or similar, but instead of using it for the pocket whole screws just stick dowels into the holes. I don't know if this would work or not, the angle might be too steep and/or the dowel that fills the hole to wide, but it would be an easy way to have...

    Help with Sockets

That's what I haul around in my truck. For the price, it would be hard to beat them. I very much like the fine knurling on the sockets, quite honestly, they are some of my favorite sockets. I do prefer Armstrong Maxx and Gearwrench ratchets over the ratchets that came with the Dewalt sets...

    Help with Sockets

I don't think it is worth having extra nice tools for a road box. The likelihood of items getting stolen, lost, damaged, et cetera is pretty high. I have been satisfied with both Gearwrench and Dewalt, both of which can be found inexpensively on sale.

    1/4 drive cordless Impact Wrench

While I wouldn't call myself a fanboy, I have been nothing but impressed with my m12 purchases (Fuel in the hex impact driver, drill/driver, and circular saw) and plan to add to my collection in the future.

    Metabo grinder model # WG9-115

I received mine. I wasn't thrilled with how it was packed (just some paper wrapped around the Metabo box), and the tool ended up with a small dent. Not really that big of a deal and I am sure I will beat it up some in the coming months, but I wouldn't be too confident buying anything fragile...

    Greetings from the Old World

Welcome. I have never been to Serbia, but much of my family is from/still in Hungary and I have made several trips there. Do you enjoy pálinka in Serbia like they do in Hungary?

    Ridding garage of mice passively?

The 5 gallon bucket traps work great. I just put water in them, no antifreeze, I don't want a dog or other non-mouse to drink it by accident. My cat is a great mouser, put him in an area with mice and there will soon be none. Just put a big litter box in there and a water dish that uses a gallon...

    Amazon Prime day 7/15/15.

I was hoping they would have a discount on more of their Kindle models. My girlfriend hated that I have to have a light on to read my old original keyboard model and I was hoping to upgrade to a Paper White or Voyage. They only had the basic e-reader and the Fire (which I don't like reading on)...
