I also turned a shaft and fitted it to my Pow-R-Arm. The cap screw that fastens it on also acts as a stop to support the vise. Jim

I bought mine without a base also so I made this up. This is the only pick I can find at the moment the shaft was turned down and threaded so I can put it into any dog hole in my bench. Jim

Shift, that looks like a Wilton Turret vise. It's hard to tell but it looks like the jaw is missing a major part, but it could just be the photo. The vise rotates from high machinist type jaws to low woodworking jaws. Not worth that much in my world I've seen the in the 100-150 range. I bought a...

That looks like the Taiwan knockoff the Highland Woodworking sells for almost that same price. I'd have to check to be sure. Jim

RagTop Oh, you mean the one that photo bombed in the background. That one is a Chas. Parker. I think it has 3 1/2" jaws but it in in storage in Maine already so I can't check. Sorry. Jim Here it is.

This one is still with me I posted it a while ago but I don't think Vises was here then. I'd love to know more about it. It's big, 12" wide jaws, the dynamic jaw and 3" square slide were cast in one piece. Hence no name or logo on the face. Every part that was machined was hand stamped with a...

I'm not sure RagTop, but I think it might be a Walker-Turner. It used to be a clamp on. DRIVES, I moved some of them up already, four or five I think. I gave two and an #50 anvil to a friend of mine, he's falling headlong into knife making. I had to do something, as he had just given me an...

Here you go DRIVES, this is most of my clamp on vises just before I boxed them up. They are now waiting for me in Maine. The little green one on the upper left was a clamp on the was broken and my dad trimmed the stub end and drilled a couple holes for screw mounting. Jim

Drives, if that is the price hanging off the vise he is optimistic. I've not seen an original with a wheel but it might be nice. It looks like an older 'turtleback' model. I've seen them sell between $300 and $600 of so depending on condition. I still have some misc Emmert parts for sale. Jim

Here is a logo someone asked for. I will have a PDF I can share in a couple of days so you can size it properly and not have it pixelated. Someone on a another forum shared it with me and I have yet to make the decal from it. PM me it you are interested in the PDF. Jim

Thanks DRIVES, I saw one on line a couple of years ago and never expected to actually find one. I also picked this up. I really like to big base so it is self standing. I did leave behind a 3" Wilton bullet and a 4" Chas Parker. I didn't even ask if they were available as we are actively...

This weekend I found what to me was a unicorn vise and I never expected to find one in the wild. A couple spots of rust but I can clean that up. Jim

You are missing a collar with a set screw. McMaster Carr might have what you need if you can't find the old one. Jim

I have a Sheldon similar to the one you posted. I have it mounted to my sharpening bench. It's nice and versatile but I don't consider it heavy duty. Jim

Yes Drives, it is an Emmertt. An older turtleback model. I also have a K-1 model mounted on my bench and a smaller clone waiting in the corner. Not to mention a bunch of Emmertt parts looking for a new home. The hydraulics works fine on this base, but being a dentist chair base it doesn't...
