    beak-jaw pliers ???

Apparently for these beak-jaw pliers, WF-X is the oldest date code and WF-AD is the newest date code. And the new handles don't match the old handles. Geezzz, what a headache. . The seller is sending me an "X" date-code beak-jaw pliers to look at. . WHEW! . Pliers crisis averted! ...

    beak-jaw pliers ???

 Yep, he's right, except for the part about "really wanted"; this pair is missing the distinctive darkened triangular shaped inset on the logo-side of the handle. The beak-jaw pliers first appeared in the 2009 Craftsman catalog as part of 2 different 3-piece sets. Each 3-piece set was...

    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT Steven's Craftsman Space

Finally completed my set of Craftsman pro red/black handled pliers. . Well almost, due to the lack of availability of the Craftsman branded long reach pliers, I supplement the set with the SK green handled long reach pliers. . . .

    Show your new tool arrivals

 Those were a "catalog exclusive" back in the day so you're not going to find those at a Sears store. SK has a nearly identical version, also made by Western Forge, but of course with SK green handles. Good luck finding a pair of those as well. They were touted by SK as "new for 2016"...

    beak-jaw pliers ???

I got a note back from SK customer service. They claim that these beak-jaw pliers are available for distributors to order. She said she had no way of knowing which if any distributors had them in stock to which I called ********. I called a number of brick-mortar distributors and a number of...

    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT Steven's Craftsman Space

Found an awesome complete 8-piece set of the NLA CRFTSMAN stainless steel screwdrivers. Seriously, I own more drivers than a DIY guy should be legally allowed to own. But I found these brand new in the original pouch and could not resist. The original owner told me that he bought them...

Picked up these really sweet SK long reach pliers. The fit and finish of these USA tools has no equal; really nice. The only way these could be better is if they had the red and black handles. 11".....Slip Joint Long Nose Pliers........17811 11".....Long reach pliers Duckbill..........17844...

    beak-jaw pliers ???

Yes I've seen that listing. That guy is the master of popular, discontinued C-man tools. I don't know about over-priced; he's going to get what the market will pay. Wow, that's interesting. So they were/are out there... hum...limited run perhaps? Good stuff. . The Craftsman version appears...

    beak-jaw pliers ???

Hence the need to appropriate handles from something else... I wonder how many cases of old C-man red/black handles WF still has in the storage in the back of the warehouse.

    beak-jaw pliers ???

I do believe that's it. I looked at the 2016 on-line catalog and could not find a section or listing for "new for 2016" tools. And in the "NEWS" section of their website nothing has been added since 2015. If this tool is "new" for 2016 perhaps someone at SK should take note that 2016 is...
