    Garage interior finishing advice

Not sure about where you are, but my parents house, we built a rack to the back of the garage (on the outside) and load the tiers up there when not in use. 1 hook per tire/rim basically. They stay out of the way, off the ground, and away from public view

    Storage Unit Build Help...

Thats a heck of a lot of information lupinsea. Good information, but a lot of it is over my head. I think I'll stick with a wood/block foundation being that I don't know how to lay concrete and from reading up on it last night, it seems a little more difficult then I'm ready for at this time...

    Storage Unit Build Help...

I appreciate the input, but I want something that when people look back there, they wont say "ugh that looks like ****". So design plays as much a part as use for me - after all, wife has final approval...lol

    Storage Unit Build Help...

Alright, that was easy, I'll use blocks rather then concrete. And I'm leaning towards the style that MMhouse posted. I really like that. Is there a place online that you can get designs/plans or something? What about electircity? Would you have to have a ground set up for this or could I run...

that looks nice, but its WAY to big for what I'm thinking. Even the one above is to big, but would work cuz I tossed the idea of making two (one for storage of home stuff and one for storage of yard stuff).

    Storage Unit Build Help...

do you have more information on this one? Being that it would be hold mostly the wifes stuff (as the garage would then be fully mine!!) i think she would like a style like what you have there. I just don't think it looks good with a brick house! hmmm

    Storage Unit Build Help...

Started drawing designs for the garage to be redone today and realized that I'm not going to get anything in there redone WITHOUT having a storage unit where I can put the wife's christmas decor, childhood memories, and all the other junk she feels the need to keep. So before I do the garage...

    Help Planning Garage Rebuild...

    - plumbing? Like for a toilet and sink? Not quite sure I need one in there. What other uses would you need one for? - HVAC? I think I'll leave it with no AC. Just an added expense that I don't think I'll absolutely need. Then again, I'm in Louisiana so it might be a good idea.

    Help Planning Garage Rebuild...

    K. that makes sense. So I guess that will be my first project to the rebuild process, (after planning and sketching). I'll get some studs to sister in to everything that's not in prestine condition...(you can tell there WAS a case of water rot and termites in some sections.)

    Help Planning Garage Rebuild...

I've been looking into multi lighting system (to include LED lights being flush mounted every so many feet on the beams). I thought about keeping the beams open for extra storage and stuff, but I just don't like that look. I was lookin at the damage to the walls, and I think much of it is...

    Help Planning Garage Rebuild...

Below are some pictures. I want the drive way to go to the garage(left side of it). As far as plans, I want to be able to work on my car, but at the same time, I want to be able to have some guys over and watch a game or something in there. So I'll need a place to put a TV and some stools, and...

Looking for some advice from you guys on where I need to start and finish when planning to rebuild a garage. Any advice would be greatly apprecaited. I've got quite a bit of time at work right now and thought I could kill it by redesigning the worn out garage that came with the house...

    Ideas/Help with garage...

I think I'm going to look at some T1-11 today. How's the pricing on it compared to regular plywood? As for the flacking on the epoxy, like I said I haven't seen people on here talk about a problem with it, just the ones rating the products where I look to buy it...

That stuff doesn't look bad on the outside. But I still can't picture it on the inside. I guess maybe painted it wouldn't look too bad.

    Ideas/Help with garage...

I fixed the pics late last night! - I'm still not sure about a garage door, just because it's not going to be used that much. It seems like a high priced investment that may only get used 1-4 times a month if that. - I thought about the metal roof, but a lot of people say shingles are better...
