    What is a rotary drill?

Is it a hammer drill? Most times drill manufacturers will sell their hammer drills as “Rotary Hammer Drills”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

100 Year old pedal powered scroll saw, tearing into it!

Hi wrench guy, That blade look pretty hard to locate. The newer ones are pined and about 5” long. Perhaps you can take a wood bandsaw blade a make your own? Even if you took a hacksaw blade, grind down the teeth and make your own and then set the teeth to the proper bend! Sent from my iPhone...

    Powermatic 1200 Drill Press

Looks like you have a nice find! If you change it to single phase 220v, most likely you would change the motor and it would be 1725rpm vs the 1140rpm three phase. That big beast depends on the slower speeds on your larger drill/boring bits. Also I’m not sure if your power feed is three phase as...

    I broke my vice yesterday

We all had projects on our work bench that headed to the scrap pile. This time it’s our bench vise. Depending on how much scrap you have to cash in, you might be able to get a nice Chas Parker or Wilton vise that you can show and tell with us GJ tool buddies [emoji847] Sent from my iPhone...

Is it possible to repair a screwdriver tip?

Yes I’m pretty successful with them but don’t use a bench grinder on mine. You have to give them a rough shape if pretty bad. I use either a stationary bench belt sander or a angle grinder with a 4 1/2x 7/8 sanding discs plus pad to give them shape. Careful not to “blue” the metal to overheat...

Craftsman 150 Drill Press- Burnt out motor

You should read motor specification/ID tag and replace with like motor. There’s some important info on there that needs to remain the same like motor voltage, horsepower, amperage and RPM. Most drill presses are 1725rpm single phase power. Pay extra attention to the phase power of your...
