    They were Proto ratchets!

Cerakote! It's a really REALLY tough gun finish. A bit pricey but might be worth the investment if you're a gun owner or will use it on something else. Keep us updated!

    Anti-Scratch screwdriver

If it's just the paint you're worried about then I'd paint it after you assemble it. Really the only way to avoid any tool marks completely. I do aircraft restoration and it's hard to assemble things that are finished and painted. Maybe a small model brush or airbrush?

    Anti-Scratch screwdriver

Never used these and don't know if they'd fit your application but they claim to not scratch watch cases. Another option: make a brass flathead. I couldn't find a brass screwdriver so you'd have to make one. Or try painters tape on the head of your screwdriver. Can you post some pictures of...

Nova, Pan American Tools (or, recommend me an air drill!)

Turns out I was mistaken about the rpm! My drill is 2800, which is about 3000 but I rarely use it at full speed. Anyway, the hogue grip I have didn't have a number or identifying marks on it besides Hogue. Here's a link for the grips http://web.hogueinc.com/handall.html Good luck!

Nova, Pan American Tools (or, recommend me an air drill!)

I think 3800 rpm is really high for aircraft sheet metal work. The faster the drill bit turns, the more heat created. Easier to burn up drill bits and alter the temper of the metal you're working with. Mine is 2000 rpm max and I've never needed anything faster. I don't work with carbon fiber...

Nova, Pan American Tools (or, recommend me an air drill!)

I'm partial to Sioux because I have one. Swapped out the chuck for a Rohm keyless chuck and never looked back. My drill came with a Hogue rubber grip. If you've never used a Hogue, they're fantastic. Worth the extra money IMO, especially for aircraft work. Never used a Nova but a guy at work...

Parts for Aircraft 90 Deg. Angle Drill Attachment

The reason I want to replace the bushing is the drill bit wobbles inside the bushing while drilling. Doesn't leave a clean hole as wants to run all over the place. The gears are also a little worn out and there's a LOT of graphite and small metal bits inside the 90 deg elbow housing the gears...

    Extensions with best knurling?

SK extensions have pretty aggressive knurling. My snap on's are nice but not as aggressive as SK

Parts for Aircraft 90 Deg. Angle Drill Attachment

I've browsed their website, and found it on Snap On's website as well but cannot find an online listing showing a parts breakdown or a place to order parts. Anyone know where to find parts for an ATI326B drill attachment? I bought mine used on eBay and it needs a new threaded bushing. Here's...

    The importance of PPE!

Anytime i'm using a cut off wheel or grinding wheel I wear glasses, gloves, and a face shield. Can't be too safe.. I hope this guy wasn't using a cutting wheel to grind with.

Looking for Snap On British standard and BA combination wrenches. Preferably without owners marks. Price dependent on condition. Thanks!

    International Space Station toolbox

This is exactly why they use foam cutouts. They sacrifice precious space to avoid a potentially catastrophic failure from a lost/missing tool. A floating loose wrench could wreak havoc on those lightweight spacecraft components.

    International Space Station toolbox

Awesome first post! Thanks for the info. Makes sense that it all comes down to money. I wonder how much more Snap On charges for tools that are space rated.... hahaha

    International Space Station toolbox

The one that smashed into the planet because they forgot to convert everything to metric? I remember that. What a screw up. If this country ever wants to get on the metric system with the rest of the world NASA is the place to start. If they're not leading the way in science then we'll never...

    International Space Station toolbox

I'm sure they're about as close as they can get them while still being retrievable. Sure you can cram them in there but then the foam starts to tear from normal use.

    Let's see your toolbox.

Awesome box, I have the same color scheme on my classic series. Maybe someday I'll get to an EPIQ
