Ever Buy Specialty Tools with Lots of Accesoires And Have No Idea How it Works?

I bought a tool kit for drum brakes once. I thought it would be easier to have the right tools until I tried to figure out what a couple of them were for. I found out after some looking and playing… I still laugh when I work on drum brakes

    Spark Plug Sockets

Those look nice.… I don't think I've noticed the locking wobble before I've been using this one for about 10 years. Just not often enough to break in I guess

    Snap-On 1/2 drive ratchet in a 3/8 or 1/4 body?

I wonder if it really is or if it's just a page that was never updated. If you look without the number I can't find it

    Snap-On 1/2 drive ratchet in a 3/8 or 1/4 body?

I've seen a few 3/8 stubby size with 1/2 drives on eBay. I think they would come in handy

    Spark Plug Sockets

Dielectric grease is a great idea. Wish I would have thought of it. I'll try it out on my TA this weekend when I give it the spring tune up.

    Spark Plug Sockets

I was looking at the magnetic ones the other day. I may need to pick one up and a set of locking extensions.

    Spark Plug Sockets

I have several spark plug sockets and the one I use the most (Craftsman) has the rubber insert for retention. I find that the insert holds the plug too tight and once I've tightened the plough I can't get the socket off. When I use an extension it will separate from the socket before it comes...

    Nice Quality Extension Cord

Thanks for the link… I figured the rating was affected by the ends. One of my tools uses over 15A and I was wondering if those 12/3 cords would be fine or do I need to change out the ends?

    Nice Quality Extension Cord

I've done a little looking locally and it has me wondering about them. The 12/3 cords I saw were all rated for 15A but I thought the 12 gauge cord could handle more so does that rating result of the ends used?

    Nice Quality Extension Cord

I hadn't really thought of that but that's a great idea. I remember a long time ago someone was selling supplies on here to make their own. I'll look into this I don't have one around here. I'll see what I find before I ask for you to go through all the trouble. Thanks for the offer

Getting the box to the job

I saw a guy at the BMW dealership have his Snap On box loaded on a flatbed wrecker. I would just rent a trailer like posted above. I'll have to do this soon when I move. I'm not looking forward to unloading everything

    Nice Quality Extension Cord

Most of my stuff will run fine on a 14 gauge BUT - couple tools require a 12 gauge. I can safely run 100' 12 gauge cord off both but I'm looking for a 50' cord

    Nice Quality Extension Cord

I need a good extension cord. Since winter is over I'll be doing more car detailing and I want something nice that will hold up. I need something that's at least 12 gauge. Any suggestions or are the ones at Lowes and Home Depot all fine?

Suggest a Buffer/Polisher for my wife.

I actually have a 7636 which was marketed as a DA sander but it's identical to the 7424. Once you put the pad on there it's not too powerful for this. I've used mine for years for detailing. Just use the right pads for your task and you will be great. If you need to do some paint correction it...

Suggest a Buffer/Polisher for my wife.

I have a Porter Cable. If you want a good one go with the 7424XP. It works well, I'd use 6" pads at most on it but I prefer 5.5" pads

I like the breaker bar. I have thought about ordering a SO ratchet adaptor for my breaker bar.

Return of the Bionic Crowbar! You can get them now!

Thanks for the info. I think I'll sign up on your site. From the video it looks like a great tool and the price point doesn't seem bad if it works well.
