I believe that if you spread them out flat and single layer you’ll be fine at 8 feet away from a structure.

At the very least, soaking tools in diesel fuel will stop further rusting. More than a few fellows here will take tools with a bit of surface rust and use a bench grinder with a fiber wheel to zip off the rust in a few seconds.

This is the best advice. I spread out oil soaked rags on bare dirt at least overnight before tossing in the plastic city provided garbage can.

Another vote for 4 foot long LED tubes even at 12 feet high. Even and overall spread of lighting is SO much better than blindingly bright spots of light. I have nine 4 foot twin tube LED fixtures spread out over my garage that is just 20x20. Works great!

Absolutely right. But better buy 2 or 3. Looks like a separate tool that would get misplaced. But that is an heirloom quality tool. Should last for years even in daily use.

For my little DIY jobs, I’m not trying to beat the clock or anything and often use a round file to clean up and deburr the cuts.

How about the Ridgid Model 15? I’ve never used one but it looks like a serious tool. I’m just a home gamer and I go years in between jobs making a few cuts on conduit.

Your fire is making me think about getting interconnected smoke alarms. I have battery powered smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in all bedrooms and hallways but if a fire starts at the far end, a bedroom smoke detector won’t react until it’s too late.
