How was your floor finished? Am just curious as to what I'm going to need to do. Mine was power trowled, and is very smooth. I'm going to message Justin as to wether I could get away with just etching it, or if I will have to do a light grind.

The steel is nice, id lose less headroom, but At what cost? How much more would steel be, over wood?

I was wondering about that. I've heard of guys doing it both ways, and haven't really heard of any issues by doing it either way. I'm assuming free standing would be my best bet?

So I would be good just using 6x6 post's for the garage side support, attached to the floor with something like this?

Been trying to plan the mezzanine for my barn, and have a few questions/am stuck. Especially on the joist spans. So I'll start with that. My posts are 8' apart, and I would like to put the mezzanine in the corner. Ideally I would like to go out 2 poles, and down either 2 or 3, so 16x16 or 16x24...

So the hd40 is comparable to the tlppc? Is the burnishing required for the extra protection? Or just to get the gloss? The tlppc, no burnishing is required correct? I Also have small pads outside of my doors. I believe I saw the tlppc can be used on those to?

So I've pretty much narrowed down my choices between these two. And I wanted to get some of the groups input on which they would choose. Over the winter we just finished up the shell of my 40x48 pole barn, brand new concrete floor (approx 4 months old), nothing has been driven in there yet...

So with just those 4 lights, is it bright enough to work on things without extra lighting? Also, could you let me know where you got the insulation? And did you put it on the outside of the purlins and put the metal right over it?

Just wanted to give a final update. Going back and forth with the door company, we finally settled on them crediting me half of what my quote for correct repairs are. Still not happy I have to spend money on that, instead of insulation, lighting, etc. but it is what it is. Yes, there was a HUGE...

I appologize for the long wait, so here's an update on where we are at now. The door is a insulated steel interior/exterior r18 door, no windows. They came yesterday, put the thicker seal on the bottom, which raised the door about an inch and a half. From there I had about a 1 1/4" gap left at...
