    Yesterday I found out the carrier in the rear differential has excessive wear and the ring gear has rust pitting. Apparently letting the axels sit with the vent tube capped generates condensation. Fortunately I had a spare carrier in better condition. Unfortunately the gear ratio was different...

    @Mezz2006 thanks for your input. I did notice the thickness restrictions for welding and cutting on their website. My predominant purpose for this tool would be the cleaning function. I have contacted the company about a wider cleaning tip, but haven’t received a reply yet.

    potential injuries/incidents caused by a hydraulic transmission jack

    You should consider accommodating transmission/transfer case combos as well. Most transmission jacks don’t handle this units well.

    My bride and I celebrated our 33rd anniversary this weekend. We visited a few antique shops in the next town over today. I snagged this cabinet for a reasonable price. We also found a couple of reminders from our youth.

    I finished cleaning and painting the rear axle. New brakes and axle bearings are installed. Now it’s loaded and ready for a trip to a local shop for a diff rebuild. I also bolted a few parts on the frame. The 68’ has a slight port list with the 14 bolt strapped to one side.
