    Clean-up old MOBIL Sign....?

Check the shop talk section on old gas.com. Just like garage journal, there's thousands of experts in a searchable online forum with recommendations. You can often spray some wd40 on to get a sheen. Some recommend bar keepers friend to clean, but others warn to try a small section first and...

School me on solar systems (too good to be true?)

I used solar city. 20 year lease, and i chose the option to write a check up front with no monthly payments. While you lose the federal tax benefits I liked that they are responsible for maintaining the system and also guarantee how Much power it will generate

Hey Red, looks like you're nearly a neighbor given your Hudson Valley location. I spent the day yesterday powerwashing my Craftsman Race-Deck knockoffs, since I've got to take some time to rebuild the funds before laying down porcelain tiles. And I'll try to post my 90+% finished garage some...

Glad this came up today because I was going to ask opinions on a porcelain 12x24 tile rated 4 with wet coefficient of .71 and dry .73, frost resistant, chemical resistant, impervious to water, ada compliant and rated indoor. My three classic triumphs leak a bit of oil which is why the glazed...

    Garage Ceiling

Go to lowes and check out ther metal roofing panels. They come in a few powder coat colors or in a hammertone silver which I used. You can buy self-drilling screws with rubber washers that they sell for these to be used on roofs . The panels come in 8 or 12 foot lengths as I recall. Easy to...

How to prep if i'm Gonna use porcelain under the LBCs that mark their spots

I've read the many posts about porcelain tiles and have decided that solution will work and look best under my three Triumphs that all regularly mark their spots. My question is how best to prep the concrete that's likely to have a number of oil spots where the oil seeped through cracks in my...

Best flooring option for British classics that mark their spots!

I've been using drip pans for years but invariably the cars find a way to let loose anywhere but right on them. How are porcelain tiles for classic drips? Seems like they might be the easiest to clean as long as the grout is dark?

i have a neighbor who's an electrician, and a few years back when i told him i was in the market for a whole-house standby generator he strongly recd briggs & stratton over generac. and it wasn't because he was getting the sale, since he knew upfront i was going to order it online and just have...

What does a "bump" mean in the classifieds?

Sorry to be so naive, but what does it mean when a seller does a "bump" in the classifieds? I think that's the only place I see that happening and I'm clueless. Thanks

Solar array installed on our roof thanks to SolarCity.

i had solar city over this weekend and went ahead with a contract. seems like a great deal on the $ front, and also nice to deal with a company that's large and has responsibility to take care of the panels for the next 20 years
