Re: Garage Refurb Nice repair on the wood stove. Welding that cast iron couldn't have been easy. The steel rack came out looking really good. Great idea and use of that space.

Looks like I lied: the heater bracket mounts under the 2x6. The bolt is pretty snug but just loose enough that I can still rotate the heater if needed.

Yes, the 5000 would more than likely work for you. I attached a short 2x6 across the top of two roof rafters (24" on center) and then the bracket of the heater goes over and screws into the 2x6. It's placed in a back corner of the garage and is angled to the opposite front corner. The walls...
