Affordable Garage Cabinets, Is There Such A Thing?

I bought these from HomeDepot. I paid around $1500 on sale, normal cost was $2500 (now at $2000). The unit is 234" long and is available in black, red and blue.

    Cleaning your garage/shop

My wife does most of the cleaning and putting tools away. Sometimes before I'm finished using the tools. Anytime I'm in the shop, she's there helping with whatever project in working on. She's really my partner in the shop.

    Ceiling Fan or Wall Fan?

I have 3 of those ceiling fans in my 30' * 32' wood workshop and was amazed the first time I used them on how much air they actually flow. They make a world of difference they make on cooling. I'm considering adding of the same fans to our 3 car garage. As in your case, I only have power in...

    Finally mounted my clamps

I found that out many years ago to ALWAYS tighten the clamp handle tightly before hanging the clamp.

    Finally mounted my clamps

The 40" clamps I can reach from the floor, I also have a foot stool handy if I need to reach the 31" clamps. The Cabinet Masters are too heavy duty and I've only used them once in the 10 years I'vI had them. They were the first clamps I bought and then decided I''d rather have Bessey's.

    Finally mounted my clamps

Thanks, I been buying them for about 10 years. There's 15 clamp racks that bought from Peachtree Woodworking. Available in 24" that hold 12 bar clamps as well as a 48" rack that holds 25 clamps.

    Finally mounted my clamps

The walls are 12 feet high so I took advantage of that and set the clamps high. I can reach the bottom of all of them using a 1 foot step stool. I did leave about a foot below the ceiling for future use. I need to install the 3/4" Maxine air supply and thinking about adding 6" crown molding...

Look carefully above the hand clamps, there's about 25 C clamps with the spring clamps in between the C clamps.

    Finally mounted my clamps

Not sure, maybe $4000 - $5000? The most clamps I have ever used at one time was 75 - 80 when I was doing my kitchen cabinets in the old home.

    Finally mounted my clamps

Got the clamps mounted on the wall. Now they're organized. Trying to decide whether to mount cabinet sides and doors. Thoughts? Excuse the mess, still working on the woodshop and things are scattered.

How Would You Build Foundation for AC Pad?

The lot slopes from the back to the front by 30 feet and the yard is graded to allow water to run off at the sides of the property line. Water flows on the back side of the shop which is where the AC will be installed. So basically I'm trying to keep it above the potential water line. A...

How Would You Build Foundation for AC Pad?

I'm having the outside unit for the AC system installed soon and need to pour a 3' x 3' foundation. I want to have the pad 18" above grade, about a foot below the top of the workshop floor. I plan on removing what little topsoil there is (rocky soil) and laying a 4" base. I'm using 8"*16"...

Bolting 44" HF Tool Boxes Together

I'm going to look at the bottom structure tomorrow and do something similar to what kctyphoon suggested. Use clamps to secure the cabinets.

Bolting 44" HF Tool Boxes Together

I'm trying to do something sort of temporary. It'll be at least 6 months before I am able to work on the platform. Too many other higher priorities. We moved into a new house recently and a lot of honey-do's on my list.

Bolting 44" HF Tool Boxes Together

That may be my only option, drill the holes. As far as rolling the cabinets, I drilled and tapped new holes to move the swivel caster to the front of the cabinet. Hopefully I'll be able to roll them away from the wall for clean out.

Bolting 44" HF Tool Boxes Together

I've thought about drilling through the sides but concluded that using the rivnuts would be much stronger. Welding up a frame is in the plan but down the road. Trying to get them setup together till then. If I can't figure out how to do it, I may drill the sides.
