You ran your card for $0.07? [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] I've been keeping a pocket of change lately for those elusive $0.01 deals. I've been stocking up on the Paslode nail/fuel combos and hitting tools rentals for the hitachi nails and staples.

Not in all cases. Some vendors actually reimburse HD for items that are trashed. BUT, the item has to be trashed and cleared out of inventory as trashed and NOT through a POS terminal. There are also some items that are on the shelf in a consignment type of sale. HD has not purchased the item...

Why are you being a ****? The man asked a legit question. Besides, how the f%@& are you going to scan that thing on the SCO? DrWheels, I will note the sku down in my notes on my iPhone, find an associate on the other end of the store with a First Phone PDA, ask them to check stock on that sku...

Do you ever recall checking Sku's and NOTHING comes up at the computer? If that ever happens, I can almost guarantee those are $0.01.

Just a reminder to check clearance tag "printed dates." Chances are if you find a clearance item that has a tag that was printed a few months ago, the item is probably deeply discounted or even a penny.

Found two boxes of nails in Seasonal. Clearance tag printed in December. Rang up $0.01. Cashier pulled over a manager and he said I can't sell them. But you can have them.

Checkout as usual. It is most likely a penny. Raise hell if they don't sell it to you for the penny.

I have the same issue. I just try to be a tad more precise on my search key words. Can't be too generic as too many results prohibits you from being able to refine search.

HD doesn't really seem to have a "schedule" for clearance stuff. If you're doing your due diligence and searching overhead, you'll find the deals. Their top stock is all open unlike Lowes that has blocked off some of their top stock and they can "hide the deals."

I think sometimes the MET or merchandisers are just in auto pilot or are distracted and don't pay attention to the $0.01 stickers that are printed from the printers on the carts they pull around.

He will probably go back and manipulate the inventory as if he trashed the items just like they do with most penny items. Warranty claim in a $0.01 item? Not too concerned about it. I've bought 20 tough boxes up to this point. Which one was bought on which receipt? Hell if I know. But even if...
