Problems with my Epoxy Coat lifting.

Listen to Scotty. The only real cure for that floor is to grind it all off, that will also prepare the concrete for good primer adhesion. Put down a good primer, main coat with however much flakes you want and then cover it with a good clear polyurethane top coat. Your floor will look great for...

Who Makes a QUIET Shop Vac?

I have this Ridgid unit and it is really not that loud. I have been very happy with it and would recommend it. http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-16-gal-Wet-Dry-Vacuum-WD1851/100638360

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Good decision the M12 fuel stuff is addictive. I hardly reach for my M18 tools anymore the M12 does almost everything I need. The main M18 I still use is the impact wrench. I have the M18 Fuel and that thing is a beast. I haven't even turned on my compressor since I went with Milwaukee Fuel...

Full, heavy, or medium chip broadcast on new epoxy floor?

A full broadcast will not be completely smooth, it will have a little pebbly feel to it but it will clean just fine. Doing a full broadcast not only looks very nice, it adds to the thickness of the covering, making it more durable. It's just like putting down extra coats of epoxy. Here is a...

    Rust Bullet on Shed floor?

That looks good, I hope it will hold up, with all the flexing.

Paint molding before of after epoxy floor?

When I did my floor I didn't epoxy the stub wall. I just brought it up to the edge of the wall and painted the stub wall the color of the main wall and painted the molding the color of the rest of the trim.

    Driveway paver choices

I was new to pavers and didn't know about the sand. The sub contractors did the job when I built the house. I'm sure they used the cheapest sand they could find. I use the extended clearing type of control spray but I live in the country and stuff will pop up all the time. By the end of the...

    Driveway paver choices

I have pavers for my drive and if I were to do it over I would use stamped concrete. The big drawback to pavers, for me anyway, is the constant battle with the stuff that will grow between them. In the warm months, I have to spray about once a week to keep the junk down. They are great for being...

I need a good low profile Jack

I have had my Omega http://www.omegalift.com/ProductDetails/Omega/2TonLowProfileServiceJack/29023B/763 for 8 years now and it has never given me a single problem. It goes low enough and has a long enough reach to get about anywhere you need. I can reach all the way under my lowered Mustang...

Question about the Milwaukee miter saw...

I don't think you will find it for less then that price. I think $649 is Milwaukee's MAP on that saw.

    Rust Bullet on Shed floor?

Thanks Justin. I think this may be the best option for me. Tile just doesn't hold up well outside and I don't want to use Spar Varnish on it.

    Rust Bullet on Shed floor?

Justin, I am going to build an outdoor table for my Kamado grill and was wondering how you thought Rust Bullet would work on an outdoor project like that. I am going to make the top from 1 inch furniture grade plywood and I was thinking about doing several coats with the RB. Do you think this...

    Need Epoxy recommendation

I would just do a sealer, if you are going to make it into a woodworking shop. The floor will always be covered with sawdust, so you just want to make it easy to clean up spills and to sweep. I also don't recommend a wood stove in a woodworking shop. Sawdust in the air is volatile and can...

Modular Tile vs NEW Epoxy Floor DECIDED - DIY Begins in Portland OR

Maybe my floor was just extra bad but after an electric blower, brooms and a dustless vac, I could wipe my hand on the floor and still come away with dust on it. Like I said, it took pressure washing it 3 times before I could wipe it with my hand and come away clean.

Modular Tile vs NEW Epoxy Floor DECIDED - DIY Begins in Portland OR

I'm sure you already know this but you need to pressure wash the floor before you start the epoxy application. I had to do mine 3 times before I finally got all the dust from grinding off the floor. Then let it dry out for a couple of days.

    Refinishing pressure treated deck

If you're going to sell it then I would also recommend fixing any nail or screw problems and then paint it. I have used SW Deckscapes http://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/stain-colors/exterior-stains/deckscapes_exterior_waterborne_semitransparent_deck_stain/...

    Refinishing pressure treated deck

One of my neighbors had the stuff from HD installed last year and it looked nice. This spring she pressure washed the deck and it all came up. She is not a happy camper right now.
