Running yellow gas line to new garage.

Might want to check with your codes around here the yellow lines are no longer in favor. If lightning hits it can travel along it and cause problems. There is now a new black line that is supposed to be better.

Shop with central furnace verses 3 Hot Dawg ceiling units

Could you "frame" out around the ductwork to basically cover it with some hard insulation sheets? Basically build it all back into the envelope of the building? If you could get it back into the warm side vs the cold side you might be able to help yourself there some. That way your ductwork...

Porssat - a race car build to annoy uptight people

This is awesome! For front headlights if you could find some nice beetle ones from a newer beetle that would "complete" that style!

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT Fas-Tel's 38x24

Very nice build! Keep the updates up! I am curious about the HDMI over ethernet stuff. What does that allow you to do? I ran 1 cat5 cable to all my tv's just in case but really don't know how I can truly utilize that function. I like the attic storage as well. I plan to do something...

    Kansas Camaro Corral

Try http://rayselectricinc.com/ and see what they will do for you. They are usually very fair and will do just as much or little as you want. That's who I use for large remodel jobs I get on.

    ZMotorsports Shop Projects 2.0

On your Duramax how are your rockers? Reason I ask is I now have holes in mine. Started out last year as a few rust spots and now have full holes. Was wondering if this was an issue for your or no? Mine is a 2006 that lives outside. Unfortunately its never had a spot inside as its a CCLB...

    Garage Addition Help!!

I am in favor of an add on. It's what I plan to do to my house someday. I don't care if it looks to big next to the house, that's the point. My plan was to leave my existing which has a similar feeling as yours, and add on the side and the back. However I would leave my existing alone and...

    SunTouch radiat heat.

You want to bury the wires in thinset. SunTouch wants those wires to be completely covered before you lay tile on them. It says in my Technical points "The wires must be encapsulated in thinset or self-leveler." I took two classes from them to learn how to lay their product the way they want...

    1935 Gas Station Resurrection

When I look at this picture I see one of those panels as a "sliding garage door" That can "close" off your front display area. The panels to the right look like if they were hung on a track they would be a perfect door to the opening on the left. Love the way this looks.

Proper Sleeper Joist Installation for Subfloor

When basketball floors are done often times the sleepers are just floating. In fact the only way I have seen wood floors over concrete done is with random sleepers, random sized and spaced just put down and a floor nailed to that.

    Small Garage Woodshop Build

What size did you end up making your top? The dust-collection is the hard part. We have a bosch table with a porter-cable motor and it ***** okay on the top but it still makes a mess below. However we change our bits to much to build a box that would attach to our stand and still allow us to...

Garage Door Hinges sealed my door!

Put these on my dad's shop and one of the doors to his house. The shop doors don't rattle anymore and there is no air movement.

Caulking base of wall on new construction?

Typically now your insulation contractor will caulk the bottom plate to the floors. They will also caulk all 2x's that are sistered to each other to try and keep out air. This should be part of a package that they sell. They will insulate all the wall cavities, the attic, then put foam...
