"And if it costs him $25 to open his garage and then $25 to close his garage, how much does a regular garage opener cost to use?" He might be fudging it a bit, I do not know what KW/H cost in Tahoe. I used to work in a Nike Missile base. Boss said it cost $5.00 to open doors, raise, lower...

    $5 million garage (video link)

My personal opinion, he is a poser. He reminds me of Ed Norton's charactor in The Italian Job. He took his money and bought what someone else told him to buy. Did he go into a big Harley dealer in 03' and say," give me all the 100 year models". Yes it is his money and he has earned the right to...

I would give a positive vote to the square head screws. Did the exterior of my barn with them with no problems. Less than I would have with phillips.

Both of those Radial arm saws are great. Everything used to have style as well as built to last. Yea I know what Blanchard grinding is. Used to do it at old job. No table needs a blacksmiths touch before it could ever be ground. IT"S WARPED. Been doing a bit of research and hoping it has the...

I found or re discovered a gem of my own this last weekend. 24-25 years ago my friend had given me a old cabinet saw from his parents old farm.I had no markings, the motor was missing but the arbor still raised and tilted. The biggest thing was the table was warped, he said from being in a fire...

Those really are some waaay cool photos. Bailey's looked pretty modern/futuristic. All the shops I was ever in were cluttered messes. I have not looked lately but a few years back I was picking up Sams books pretty cheap.

I just drilled couple hundred holes on 1 x 1 centers. I also made one for taping that holds your tap drill, your tap and clearance drill. Also drill, press fit reamer, slip fit reamer. That way you don't have to hunt every time you do a job.

"San Jose is VERY "green" I'm not saying I want our rivers polluted or trash floating around everywhere, I just wish there was some amount of grey area sometimes for people not trying to run a full on automotive retail shop that turns multiple cars a day." I usually avoid hippies like the...

"I don't remember ever seeing one. I may have and just forgot about it. Back when I got started I wasn't interested in this type stuff just tubes and radios. This ebay ad shows what I am seeing a lot of. People are asking a lot for stuff that is not really worth it. A lot of this stuff is placed...

"As far as the tube boxes I have a couple. I have this one that is in the upper corner" Your Motorola box is the same width and depth as my Tung-Sol only about half the height. Your box is about the same size as the one our TV repairman used that fixed our set. It was a RCA box. Chuck form...
