We got enough to get me motivated to get the cab and snowblower on the tractor. 1-3 inches something like that with a melt and ice thrown in for good measure. Fall storms make such a damn mess.

Don't move in until you have closed the walls up and sealed the floor. :)

I cant wait to just have it closed up so I can get to work on the workbench. :) I have so much stuff laying around and I refuse to put the car outside. It is getting close though a couple more days off and I should have the last wall wired for power. Then I can insulate and close it up.

Well managed to get a little bit done with the ceiling and the door. It is starting to hold some heat now and just in time! Tonight was 25 degrees outside and snowing, inside it was 62 and climbing when I called it. Feeling a bit motivated to get the insulation up on the walls! Have a good...

Has anyone else made the mistake of moving into their garage before finishing?

Tetris for days. I have changed my ceiling plan yet again so now a pallet of 17x48x3/4" osb sits in my garage as well. I am not helping myself any.

Has anyone else made the mistake of moving into their garage before finishing?

Yeah things have been getting away from me here. I keep bringing stuff home because people keep tossing stuff that could be put to good use here. Like a set of metal lockers that are in what seems to be 100 pieces. Making progress though keep moving!

SO Not much progress on the garage lately I have been busy enjoying the summer. I have made a change to the change with the ceiling. A company close to me sells pallets of cut osb. For $50 I grabbed a pallet of 200 17"X48x3/4 osb that I plan on doing my ceiling with. I know this sounds...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Changed the plugs in my Lexus LX470 they look to be original at 245K miles.... Nothing left to the electrodes. Found two cracked coil's and replaced them with spares. Oil change tomorrow and a quick lube then off to camp.

Questions on the correct way to close a ceiling.

Would there be any benefit to the 1X3 strapping if I am putting up OSB? I plan on using some slats to temporally hold the plastic up while I staple it. I have ordered some 6MIL 100' By 10' for $27 so I don't have to worry about the huge piece. I have been thinking about putting sheets of...

Questions on the correct way to close a ceiling.

I have actually. But I ended up buying a whole flat of OSB way back. The trusses are 24" and they are load bearing so the weight should not be a factor. Kind of on a tight budget these days so I need to use what I have all ready purchased for this.

Questions on the correct way to close a ceiling.

Yes the size could be cumbersome but the shop is two large rooms. So two large pieces would be going up. I never thought about the end trusses I will have to put up some nailers for sure. I have been using a air staple gun so far for the insulation and it has been a god send so far so good.
