Yah that's true, I wish I had got these a long time ago instead of the Chinese Sunex ones, those ****. Nice!

Thanks, coming from a crappy set of Sunex flare nut wrenches these are amazing. I'm doing some brake work on my car right now so I already used the 10 mm and it's awesome. Feels like a nice solid tool. This is my first set of American made wrenches so I'm really happy right now lol. Originally...

Guidance for DIYer purchasing tools in Canada

For Chinese CT's fine I guess. I don't care about making money either, to me nice tools are like pieces of art and provide me with a greater enjoyment when I use them. I take very good care of my tools and I don't beat on them but it would be nice to know that I can still get something...

Guidance for DIYer purchasing tools in Canada

I want to buy good quality tools with hassle free warranty but there ain't much to choose from over here in Canada. I don't have access to tool trucks either. So, do I buy cheap Chinese tools with good warranty from places like Canadian Tire/Princess Auto/Home Depot and be sad that I'm buying...

Set of good DBE reversible ratcheting wrenches - standard length

Yah you guys are lucky, we don't have much of a selection here besides Canadian Tire and Princess Auto. Amazon is good too I suppose but there's a lot of junk on there. I'm realizing that there aren't any viable DBE wrench options so I guess the next best thing would be the combos. Do the...

Set of good DBE reversible ratcheting wrenches - standard length

Anyone know if these are any good? Titan 17365mm Reversible Ratcheting Wrench Set, 12 Piece. It's either these or Towallmark 12-Piece Wrench Set, Reversible Ratcheting Combination Set or DEWALT Ratcheting Wrench Set, MM, 12-Piece (DWMT19230). I woulda went with the Canadian Tire Mastercraft set...

Set of good DBE reversible ratcheting wrenches - standard length

They look nice, wish they didn't cost so much to buy from Canada. Sometimes access can be limited in front of you and the long handles don't make sense. Idk, I feel this kinda tool would have enough utility for me to warrant a purchase.

Set of good DBE reversible ratcheting wrenches - standard length

Yah these and the snap on ones are really expensive. Look sick just wish they didn't cost so much. I will get rekt here trying to buy them.

Set of good DBE reversible ratcheting wrenches - standard length

Everybody and their grandma already has a set of open end wrenches, I don't get why tool makers released a new wrench style with an open end again. It's dumb. If they stopped making open end wrenches for the next 50 years everyone would be just fine. I suspect the DBE style wrenches wouldn't...

Set of good DBE reversible ratcheting wrenches - standard length

Yah ideally something like those reversible S ratcheting wrenches but just in a standard orientation. I don't get why this type of wrench isn't as common. The laminated wrenches seem like the only thing that comes close but like you said they are unrefined. The Protos assuming they even make...

I Those are guaranteed super expensive and hard to find. Also forgot to mention I'm in Canada which just makes matters worse.

Set of good DBE reversible ratcheting wrenches - standard length

Can someone please recommend me a set of decently affordable double box end reversible ratcheting wrenches in standard length? I don't want flex heads either because I'm afraid they will flop around eventually. This style seems to be very uncommon and I'd like to know why exactly. I don't want...

Locking flex head ratcheting wrenches vs fixed head ratcheting wrenches

First set is too expensive and has fixed ends. The 2nd is interesting but don't really get the point of that design. Also, why do you want a fixed end on these wrenches? They are not like the long handle aviation ones which make sense having a fixed end to break bolts loose but I doubt the box...

Locking flex head ratcheting wrenches vs fixed head ratcheting wrenches

They look pretty nice but I think they would cost a lot to ship here. Don't non locking ones eventually start flopping around too though? I read reviews from people complaining about bumping the mechanism on the locking ones as well which *****. And yah I saw that set and was going to pick it...

Locking flex head ratcheting wrenches vs fixed head ratcheting wrenches

Hey guys, I want to buy a set of flex head ratcheting wrenches but have heard the heads on them get floppy so now I'm thinking would buying a set of locking flex head ratcheting wrenches be better? Are there any cons with the locking ones? I don't really care about the open ends as I'm planning...

Looking for a decent, but not high dollar deep pass thru socket set

Anyone know if these Chinese strut nut sockets are any good? Are the Schwaben ones better or are they all the same? There's also another set on Amazon by Laser but they're really expensive. I just changed a coil spring on my Golf and I want to be able to torque the strut nuts to the correct spec.
