I originally saw that procedure shown in a very early edition of HSM magazine and they used a weight and cord wound around the spindle to keep it in place against the stop.

Chuck retaining screw for an older Jacobs 1/2" chuck?

Could be this one. Take your drill to W'mart and see if it fits, or go to a B+D store, if they are still around. https://www.walmart.com/ip/OEM-N243859-replacement-drill-chuck-screw-DCD990M2-DCD995B-DCD995M2/442372690?classType=REGULAR

    Watts water pressure Regulator

Does it have a soft seat? A metal to metal seat won't shut off tightly if dead ended.

    Mini torch

Get one of these, refillable butane torch. I use mine for repairing glasses and jewellery, etc. (silver soldering) https://www.amazon.ca/Portable-soldering-Refillable-Lighters-Soldering/dp/B094XCP42J?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=A30TVY0G9EJY0P

    Shoulder Bolt/Pin and catch plate?

Think this is what you sketched. https://www.cahok.com/product-p-563489.html Or, something like this one, which you could make from suitable washers. https://www.ironmongeryworld.com/pack-of-10-interlocking-flush-brackets.html?srsltid=AfmBOorBwZ01Y6DxPNmvOe9N1wK6i0JpIZDSlUdiQJiPruUfjIKN35g_

    Advice on rosebud torch head

Looks like a rather small acetylene tank that probably won't support a rosebud tip. Just use that cutting head to heat things, as I do. My tanks will not support a rosebud either.

Is there such a thing as a tongue and groove router bit set? Better way?

Get a slot cutter and saw up some splines. That's what I do.

Right drill press rpm for 14 gauge steel

Find one with the optional center pulley, (cheap). I paid $40 for my HF #38142 and it goes down to 220 RPM.

    Welding rods

Try out a few to see how they operate. If OK, you might get $1 / LB from an interested party, otherwise scrap price. The size is measured at the bare tip.

Any idea who made this box?

Thanks for those catalogue pages, never knew they made so many versions.

    Little old compressor

Oil the motor and check the oil level on the compressor head. It'll be good for pumping up tires and maybe powering a small spray gun. Very good deal for $20.

    Older floor jack .

It is probably a guessing game here. Did you look on Amazon? This one looks like a good first attempt...

    Vintage S-K Tools

I bought both those sets around 1954, when I was just a kid getting started. They were about $8 per set then.

Motorizing a bead roller. YeahI know, another one.

Was looking at a HF drill connected to a bead roller and controlled with a foot pedal. The builder shows it in action reduced to a creep and still has plenty of power. It was a Y/T video, but I'll be damned if I can find it now. Maybe somebody will have better luck than me.
