Mini pruning chainsaws, are they safe?

Got ya but, I was suggesting a Silky or Samurai. I think the recepicating saw is a good idea. High end battery saws are taking off. I have a cheaper one I use around the house too when the Mrs says hey cut this. Let us know how you decide.

Mini pruning chainsaws, are they safe?

I'm a trained climbing arborist. I wonder why the mini pruning saws have a safety guard on top? Kickback, hand slipping...IDK. What's the tendency to grab the branch with your free hand? A good arborist handsaw will cut a small branch fast. They are extremely sharp and will cost more than one...

    Underslab drainage question

I put 57 fill on the clay before I poured the new floor in my garage and new shop build. There is a slight slope towards the buildings. You know that the water is going to run on top of the clay right through the #57. It will keep the moisture down and a barrier is a must. I put a corrugated...

Can you ID this tool and/or its logo?

How much do you want for it? I won't tell you what it is but, I need to know before anyone reveals what it is. Name your price. Awaiting answer. Actually, I have no idea but, looks like someone was making a wrench for distributor.

    12 inches of 3/4 fill?

I finished yesterday with my son's help. A couple low spots but, it’s a patio I’m happy with our work. I ended up with about 4-5 inch pad with the haunch down at the far end FYI the MudMixer I rented was awesome we almost couldn’t keep up with it. We did 61 bags (80lbs) in no time. I’m going...

    Garage Top Plate/Corners Warped

A photo would help. When I lifted my 24x24 building, I had the same issue on one corner. Most of mine settled down in a few weeks. The issue is that it’s been racked 40 years and something is holding it. Are the 2x12 holding the bowed wall in that position now that you nailed it? Can you remove...

    12 inches of 3/4 fill?

It’s a patio with 4” concrete. I had to put in 12” of 3/4 to get the base level. I already had the 3/4 so that’s why I used it. This one corner is deep while the rest has about 6”. I will be back filling with dirt to slope. Looking at the photo again…I’m thinking maybe I should dig out the...

Suggestions before I put in concrete pad.

I’m not moving siding now. The door is an outdoor entry door and has inside ledge and seal to prevent water entry. I was thinking of a piece of composite decking or PVC brick moulding to support the sill. If I put concrete underneath I would use a sill sealer. Keep the suggestions coming.

Suggestions before I put in concrete pad.

I really wasn’t sure of the type of patio before I installed the siding. I’ve calculated the cost and I’m going with concrete. I didn’t consider the vinyl siding placement since I had to match the siding on 2 sides. I wanted it to be parallel with the existing garage, so that’s where it ended...

Buying a new Sub Compact Utility Tractor

I have a 2005 Kubota BX. I did the shopping in the summer. JD was actually cheaper than Kubota. I passed on Bobcat and MF/NH because they had less features. When I buy another, I’ll probably go with the B01 series Kubota. The BX is a little under powered for lifting logs or heavy digging. It...

    Caulking for Metal Roof

They do make them. Ask your local metal roof guy for rescue/over-size screws. The washer and threads are slightly bigger. They might even give you a handful. I just put in over 2k on my roof. I would get the screws, backout the old one, straighten it up. If it doesn't work, use the...
