Show off your "Custom Handled Ratchet"

My torque wrench broke, so I created this thing of beauty. Head was off a Craftsman Digi torque. The cheater bar has a nice comfort grip. smack the head on the ground and its pressed well enough to use. the ratchet has a taper to it. smack the cheater bar off for speed.

Small rant about brand name tools brand tools

Be careful with those the pawls click along the notches built into the body. you break the teeth on the body and the whole ratchet is toast. On that note here is what suits my needs for ratchets The bottom picture is the ratcheting mechanism for a Craftsman Digi-Torque wrench that broke...

Small rant about brand name tools brand tools

I Had one SO 1/2 ratchet dual 80 that I really liked and was forced to sell during tough times. Plus I had it ingrained in my head to buy the 1/4 and 3/8. The dual 80s are very smooth and fit well. I was always worried about dropping it. The old Craftsman Teardrops I don't mind using if I have...

Vintage Craftsman Tool chest / box 1940's

Other than paint wear and little rust this box is straight with no structural damage. Drawers work well. There is no key. Item located in San Diego, but can arrange a meeting if I am traveling to Big Bear, or up north to Ventura in the future. I prefer local pickup , but shipping is an option...

Why do Thailand buyers want vintage Vise Grips

I sell tools on an auction site and the only time I have international buyers interested in my tools, is when I have USA made Vise Grips on (older vintage ones). All three times they have been from Thailand, and the most recent one seems to have purchased 6 Vise grips before contacting me. Any...
