Custom snap on ratchet with insulated handle idea

it was a pressure fit. shaft was very easy to remove and replace. The metal tip portion is only about an inch and a half with about half of that exposed. that leaves 6-1/2 inches of composite with the handle going over a portion of that. I guess you could ruin the fit if you arent careful.

Is there a company that does a nut driver with a 1/4 through handle

the long snap on one antique engine made is nice. I think I made up my mind and instead of looking for a set of drivers I am going to make a handle on a locking extension. I liked the idea in my head especially since Id like a metric nut driver set.

Is there a company that does a nut driver with a 1/4 through handle

3baygarage nailed it. though those dont have the 1/4 end . But that is probably low demand. I use this currently but have been looking for a new nut driver set and was hoping that was a feature I could find. The bolster (didnt know that word) looks like it may work though.

Is there a company that does a nut driver with a 1/4 through handle

I use a 1/4 driver extension with 1/4 sockets with a through handle , and if for any reason i need extra force that i cant do with the handle alone I use a sliding T on it. For example the nuts on the hub dial of my yota. I was wondering why they dont make a nut driver set with a through...

TRW + Unknown Snap ring pliers find at swap meet

So for the last few years Ive managed to barely get by with a Sk removeable tip snap ring plier and a harbor freight one both combined barely covered what I needed done (I have used other options like a screwdriver many times). I should have purchased a set a while ago and I probably would be...

Custom snap on ratchet with insulated handle idea

I ran in to a bit of a problem. The screwdriver they sent out does not match my set. The old one pulled apart really easily. Hopefully the new one comes out just as easily and I can put that shaft on the new grip

Custom snap on ratchet with insulated handle idea

I agree that I will need a shop press, and I think I will wait until I can use my Dads neighbors when I get to that point. I will probably be disassembling the screwdriver tomorrow, and go from there. I watched the video, that was pretty interesting. I think If I can do a tight enough friction...

Custom snap on ratchet with insulated handle idea

I have to figure out if the shaft is pressed in first SO replaces the unit with a new one instead of pressing one in like the other screwdrivers. It looks pressed in to me so with some boiling water a vise and a slide hammer I figure I can get it apart. I wont take it apart till the new one...

Custom snap on ratchet with insulated handle idea

So I have a replacement #2 insulated on the way, and I am supposed to destroy this one. I figured I will make a custom ratchet out of it. Do you think the guts of the screwdriver will make it difficult to make a handle out of? I do not have access to a lathe and plan on drilling it out with a...
