I stopped by tooldiscounter.com's headquarters today and walked out with 2 Grey socket sets and a set of 3/8 impact extensions. Now that I know they are so close I have a feeling I might be making monthly trips to pick up new items. Last week ended a 3 month run of tool buying on ebay. So...

1/2" Impact Comparison: IR VS. Aircat

I know that info is according to IR, who knows what they have going on inside there gun. I know for a fact that more air pressure (with flow to match) will make more torque nad higher speeds. I have a 1/2 MAC gun and last night it would not budge some flexplate bolts (split a impact socket but...

S9723 offset 5/8 spark plug socket

I bet you are thinking of the cheap chinese sensor sockets that were talked about I think a month ago. There is a O2 socket that looks just like the one you are looking at except for a small slot cut in the side. -Dan

    1/4" Impact Wrench

I have been looking at one of the IR 1/4 impact pistols HERE. I think it would be handy for doing assembly and then you could come back and hand tighten. I have also been looking at one of the cordless 1/4 impacts. They are all soo tempting. -Dan

Well it does not look like I get to buy any right now, nobody had them locally that I could find. So a friend will just bring his home from work tomorrow. For tonight I am going to try the welded nut method and see if that works. -Dan

    Tool Box...Torin/HF or Craftsman??

Tom, I just bought a bottom box in the 40" size. I went with the HF box on sale. The Torin boxes look almost identical in construction to the HF boxes and have the same wrinkled power coated finish (if that means anything). I would say either the HF or the Torin, and base it on the drawers (as...

    Need welder opinion

I have a Hobart Handler 135, and I have welded aluminum with it. Some say it cant be done but it can, I used a 5000 series wire and kept the gun lead straight, I had serveral birds nests but that stopped then I started holding the tip farther from the material. I would not say it was pretty, or...

    Home Built Parts Washer

How it works... It is stored with the drain valve (the red handled ball valve) open so any thing in the basin can run back into the tank. When I want to use it to hose parts off I close the drain valve and connect the compressed air. If I want to soak parts I leave the drain valve open and...

Snap-on Drawer Liners - Who Makes Them?

$14.35 per drawer? **** that stuff better be made of greenbacks for that price. I would have a hard time paying $14 for a whole roll of drawer liner. Drawer liner is drawer liner as long as it works and stays in place. -Dan
