Craftsman 3100 2.8 GPM Pressure Washer pump erratic

So today I took the "head" brass with seals, o-rings, etc... off, took everything apart. All seals look new, o-rings look new, everything looked good. On the main body the pistons all reciprocated when turning the shaft adapter. It looks new inside but then it should for the handful of times...

Thinking that might be the case. Any exploded views of the pump anywhere? Or are they pretty self explanatory upon disassembly? Thanks!

Craftsman 3100 2.8 GPM Pressure Washer pump erratic

Screen is clean. Here are two videos of it running. The first video is a complete uninterrupted squeeze on the gun. The second is me letting go of the gun when the pressurized water stops. There is a weird vibration noise right before the pressure build after letting go of the gun?

Craftsman 3100 2.8 GPM Pressure Washer pump erratic

I've had the washer for about 3 years. Used it maybe 5 times. So the other day I go to use it. Starts up a little rough but runs. After 5 minutes the engine cuts out. Now it will only run on full choke and it's slow and rough. So during this troubleshooting I shut the water down as I try to get...

Picked up a Sanborn 5HP 80 Gal. 2 stage compressor. Check oil and looked good. Drained oil to transport horizontally in my truck. Looking at a Sanborn Black Max locally on Craigslist. It's 80 gallon, 2 stage, 5HP. Seller wants $300 with guarantee on it's operation. Looking for something to upgrade from my Devilbiss 20 gal. I don't know the specs but is this good to run air tools like sander, grinder, spot weld cutter...

Snow in my pole building, how to stop in the future?

That *****. Seem at least three of us from SE Pennsylvania had this happen today. I was too sick of what I'd seen to take pictures of my mess. I worked 3 hours in the cold garage cleaning out snow from parts boxes. I didn't want the heat on and melt it all on my stuff. Had mine built by Extreme...

Snow in my pole building, how to stop in the future?

I wish I knew more about pole buildings before building as well. Live and learn. It appears I'll try to find the enclosures for my steel. Good thing I didn't finish my insulation and walls. At least I can get to the inside of my gables at this point.

Snow in my pole building, how to stop in the future?

There are eaves on. This is the first time in 18 months anything has come in. This blizzard is blowing snow horizontally against that wall. It's finding its way around the eaves to blow in. A unique situation for sure but I want to make sure it doesnt happen again when the walls are finished.

Snow in my pole building, how to stop in the future?

So today we are in the middle of the blizzard here in SE Pennsylvania. Went out to my pole building garage that I had built last summer. Well I was suprised to see about 5-6 cubic yards of snow inside. It was all over my Fairlane and boxes of parts for my '64 Comet build are full of snow. I'm...

Materials for garage ceiling--Metal VS 4x8 panels

I know this is an old post but it looks like something I'd like to use (steel corrugated panel) in my garage. My garage is a pole building. I've studded the walls and insulated and used luaun paneling on the walls. For the ceiling I have trusses on 4' centers. If I fasten these to the trusses...

    Overhead shelf above work bench

I'm thinking of building a shelf above my work bench. I was thinking 36" deep x 10' lg. Building it of 2x4 frame with plywood. It would fasten in on the back length of 10' and off to the left in a corner the 36" would be fastened to the side wall. This would leave the right corner away from the...

    Harbor Freight 14" Cut-off saw can't fit a true 14" blade?

I bought a Chicago 14" Electric Cut-off Saw - item#61481 from Harbor Freight. I didn't want it for a lot of cutting so I thought it would work fine. My first cut I noticed the flex in the blade. So I thought I'd buy some better blades. I got a few from www.mcmaster.com (14" x 1/8" x 1" arbor). I...

Craftsman 31425 Torque wrench - handle loose - calibrate

For some reason the handle on my torque wrench came loose. It could slide up and down by an inch or so. It didn't catch to adjust. So I popped off the end cap and tightened the nut up until the handle seemed like it did before. So I then took my old Craftsman beam torque wrench, set a lug nut to...

Humidity is probably the culprit. I'll experiment by checking the floor today and open the doors, it's pretty humid here today. Should happen quickly. Thanks,
