I have 5 Toyotomi Laser units heating my house, double garage and basement for last 18 years. Had a Laser 73 serviced last year, apart from that, maintenance cost is really low. Also have their hot water on-demand heater. K1 is $3.00 a gallon around here.

Keeping mine at 53 deg. 24/7. I find it comfortable working around the shop all day on weekends. It's really well insulated too.

Put a couple of coats of rust primer under the steel pads, problem solved.

Add a drywall lift and you're good to go.

It will introduce lots of humidity. If it's temporary, ok then.

5k suggested by my son. I like 4k, but 5k is great in my shop. No complaints.

I used cellulose in the attic and walls. You will need a stronger blower for the walls that attic, because it's dense packing versus loose fill. 19 in in attic and 8 in walls. My cost to heat workshop is cheap now, Lol.

With 350 ft runs, I’d go with 5/8” pex.

500g tank is what I had installed. Heating at 55 deg all winter. Used about 250g on 3000sq ft. last winter.

I used 2x4’s screwed in to the rafters 24in spacing, then poly 6 thou, finally metal liner attached to the 2x4. On top 18in blown-in cellulose. The 2x4’s give you a lot more surface to screw the liner to.
