u-haul 5x9 trailer and compressor transport?

I just helped my friend move his compressor, which is very similar to the one that you describe. His is 80 gallon, vertical and heavy. We also used the same trailer. (He had his loaded with many other things). Like mentioned above, use 4 separate straps, one to each corner and you'll be fine...

    Compressor motor overheating

I had a really odd occurrence one time with a 220v circuit, and that was that one leg of the breaker had very high resistance. The voltage drop across one of the legs of the breaker was very high. The breaker would trip, and the motor would get hot, as it wasn’t getting full voltage. We...

Thomas, it was a pleasure to finally meet you, and Deacon thoroughly enjoyed "driving" your little small block Chevy II. Here are some pics of him in the driver's seat, rowing his own.

How's the racing in Stanton? Are you planning to be there tomorrow? It looks like there is a little rain in the forecast, but I'm planning to spectate with my little boy for a bit. Maybe we'll see you? Phill

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Restored 1930's Auto Shop

Good morning, (evening) all. I've been a pretty faithful follower of this thread since somewhere near the 50th page, and I'm just checking in from my last morning in Shanghai, China. I'm not a resident of this place, but rather just here for a short work trip. I'll be back to the frozen...

    5 Acres in Michigan

I caught this thread a few days ago, but only now am I able to type a response. I love the way your house looks from the outside. I'm a (nearly) lifelong resident of West Michigan, so Welcome! My hometown is Allendale, home of GVSU, and I now live just north I96 and the Grand River. I also...

    Parking a KRL "Permanently"

What I did with my Large Matco was to force the caster wheels so that they oppose each other. I kicked front side wheel until it was pointing rearward, and the rear wheel until it was facing forward, and then I locked the caster. This prevents the swivel function from moving, as it can't go...

    Wiha, Snap-On, Williams

My wife bought me a set of Wiha for Christmas 3 years ago, and they are great, however I can't speak about Snap-on/Williams, as I only have 3, and they are all flat blade and all of different vintage. Subscribing. I like your avatar . . . I graduated in '06. Take care, Phill

    Dake machine products

Baileigh is a crapshoot, in-fact there was a salesman that spammed the yellowbullet forum for a few years and then disappeared after some of his junk finally wound up in the hands of a racecar builder who was definitely not happy. I believe that it was priced like a solid light industrial unit...

    Need an electrolysis power supply

I tried a power supply exactly like neonnblack posted, and it worked great for a few hours, and then it started smoking. Then I pulled out an old computer power supply, and modified it like show on other threads here and it worked for a few weeks and then quit working suddenly. The fan would...

    Above 1200 Sq/FT Restored 1930's Auto Shop

Interesting, I didn't know that GM built that style in cars. I do know that they had the drop-out style in 3/4 ton trucks, but it was definitely not that one. Now that I look a little more closely, I can see it's not a 9", but it sure does look a lot alike. I just assumed that it was an...

How does the Brand "F" rear end fit into the rules for a "Stock" racing class? Safety, due to lack of C-clips? I migh try to make it to Stanton to say hi this weekend, as I said I would last year and failed. Love this thread. Thanks, Phill

    Baleigh machinery

Yeah, the Baileigh dude was spamming the yellowbullet.com board for months. He did it in a casual way so as to make people think that he was a regular car guy who just happened to sell stuff for Baileigh. He even went as far as to promote made in USA. Then the feces hit the oscillator. I...

Need help identifying the use of these tools

I know the black handled deal that has Made in USA on it is for inserting plugs in car tires. I have one myself. You also need a rasp, or a roughing tool and the plug refills to make it work, but definitely worth having.

    stump grinding

Hey guys, I don't have specific info about running a Stump Grinder, but I did work for Vermeer for a while, and I thought that this little bit of info was pretty interesting and thought I'd pass it along. 1957 While testing a new stump cutter prototype, a Vermeer employee accidentally hits the...

    Mac tools COO question

They also have a MAC Edge line of sockets that are made in Taiwan, from what I remember. They have ridges along some of the "flats" of the socket which are supposed to help with grip on the socket. I've never used one, I just saw one on a friend's breaker bar. He had no idea.

    Good USA arbor press?

+1 for Dake. I work for one of their sister companies. The main factory is right down the road here in Grand Haven, MI. I do know that Dake does have a facility in China, but I believe that most items are in-fact made in USA. We have quite a few Dake arbor presses here, and they get...
