Well because I am a *****! I made more work for myself by no planning properly.. I made the third girt up too low, I set the top of it at 48" not accounting for the how to attach the next board. So I had to rip off 1 1/2" inches of each piece of ply before being able to mount it. Got them...

That's a tough call.. Go big and don't look back, I probably could have gotten away with a 30x30.. I priced both a 36x36 and 40x40 out, they were 1800 bucks different, it was a no brain-er for me.

Got my electrical inspected today, it passed with flying colors, said its one of the neatest DIY jobs he's seen, not sure if he was being nice or not but I am happy. I do wonder though if these guys have to pass a test yearly to keep up to date, as he did say I didn't need to have it grounded...

First I calked the entire building, the wainscoting gap and the floor got calked, took a 13 tubes of calk, but still cheaper than buying those foam pieces. Which had i know about i would have had them put...

This is the bench and racking I picked up. Just needs a coat of paint.. My uncle doubled up the racking welding two piece together not sure why as it weak point is still the cross member, but it's beastly.: Then the bench is 1/4 steel plate, perfect for pounding, welding and setting up...

Not sure Eric how it will hold up.. I'll let you know after the first brake job or gasline change.. I look at it as something i'll re-coat everyother year like the driveway, maybe stretch it 2-3 years if its holding up. 5 gallons is 139 bucks and will re-coat the entire floor. I dont think...

I debated back and forth on direct mount, but used chains, and only have about 1" gap. Main reason was i was doing the work my self, so I chained the lights in the house. Then mounted the hooks and drilled hole through the ceiling for the pig tail I put on each light. Then simply walked up...
