No one has any comments on this. Seems odd. Did I post in the wrong forum? Anyway thanks for reading it.

    underground plumbing??

Hi folks, been awhile since I've been on the board, life, well you know. This isn't so much about a garage but could be information needed sometime. I just bought a house that is built on a slab. The house set empty for about a year. I don't think it was winterized properly. All the...

    Electric Clutch

Is there any way to check an electric clutch on a Craftsman lawn tractor? It keeps blowing the 30 amp fuse. I checked it with my ohm meter and it reads 0 across the coil of the clutch. That doesn't seem right to me, but???

    Swapping sides didn't help.

    Safety sensors and the sun

I have swapped sides with the sensors. The manual says to put the sensor that sends on the sunny side of the door, started out that way and tryed swapping and now back to the way it is suppose to be. It's to bad there isn't a way to just do without them and some how fake the opener into...

    Safety sensors and the sun

I have a garage door with a Liftmaster opener facing east. On a sunny morning the door will open just fine, but won't close unless you over ride with the big white button inside the garage. After about 12:00 noon, the door will close just fine without using the over ride. I'm pretty convinced...

Miller Welder, to buy or not?

I can get a Miller Diversion 180 for a little over $1800. You guys think that is a better welder than the Sycrowave 250?

Miller Welder, to buy or not?

I doubt I can get it for less then $2000. It has a foot petal control and a control on the torch. It has been well cared for as it appears just dusty from being in a body shop. The cooler isn't blue, so I suppose it is a different brand than a Miller.

Miller Welder, to buy or not?

I have a Miller inverter 330 that is about 25 years old. Works good with steel no complaints. I really won't have to buy anything else to get this machine up and running. I have the tank that I used on my old Dial-Arc, which I sold and I have a decent supply of consumables. It is not a newer...

Miller Welder, to buy or not?

I have all the other items to make it work. I have a tig now but it won't do Alum. Looking for a Syncrowave 250 for some time now. The guy runs a body shop by himself, so I doubt it's been run hard.

Miller Welder, to buy or not?

I have a chance to buy a Miller Welder 250amp, cooler for tig torch, tig torch, all the leads and a nice rolling cart for it all, for $2000. It's 10-12 years old, and I know the guy that has it. He got newer, bigger machines. Is it worth $2000?

    radiant heat system pressure

I think a new system will lose a few psi over the first few days as the air in the water is removed. When pressure testing mine it lost 5PSI overnight. Ten held steady for a three weeks. If it keeps losing pressure over time, might be a small leak somewhere??

    Everhot manifold help

So you are running a closed system then? I think an air valve is the best and easiest way to remove air from your system. All flow meters should be full. If they are not, then you have air in the system and that is a problem. Once the air works it's way to the pump, then no water...

    Everhot manifold help

Dave, I apologize, I just went back and read your initial post. I shut all my valves off on my supply manifold but one. I then turned the pump on high and listened to the air separator till it was quiet. Then opened the next valve till the separator went quiet. After doing that to all...

    Everhot manifold help

I have this manifold. The flow meters are questionable, I do not go by them at all. I use a IR temp gun. You would be wise to do the same. If your pump is running and you have the valves on your loop open, all air purged, you are flowing water. On low speed, the flow meters just barely show...

    Everhot manifold help

That is the same pump I have and I have 5 loops, 4 of them are 300' and the 5th is about 200'. I run my pump on low speed and it does a great job. I have to throttle the short loop to get the same temp drop as the other 4 loops.

    Everhot manifold help

I have no experience with tankless heaters but it appears you got some very good advice in that thread. How many loops do you have and how long is each one? What pump do you have now?

    Everhot manifold help

With a floor temp of 70, and an air temp of 60, it would indicate you are putting a lot of heat in the floor but have a lot of heat loss. Is your garage insulated? if yes, how much where? The little cheesy flow meters are about useless. Open the inlet manifold and outlet manifold valves full...
