I got a set free when i bought my Mustang, the hood latch inside was broke and thats what the old owner used to grab the cable and pull it with. I left them outside for a week and no one would take them!!!! lol
It would be a cool idea but powder coating and dipping adds material making the machined area for the nut or bolt smaller that what it needs to be. That would be alot of work masking the machined area to keep the new material off of it. Plating on chrome would work better due to the lesser...
I payed 220.00 for mine with the student discount. Its a nice impact for light stuff, love taking it to the junkyard with me. Managed to get off and on 8 wheels before the battery went dead.
