Question on wall box for 50amp outlet

Thanks! It will be a few weeks before the inspection and I still need to run wire for all the overhead lights so I may just take your (and the others above) advice and swap them out for metal boxes.

Question on wall box for 50amp outlet

True :) I actually ran 8-2 romex to the 30amp boxes in case I wanted/needed to change them to 40amp later.

Question on wall box for 50amp outlet

Thanks for all the reply's guys. It seems like it really depends on the inspector so I'm just going to email him the pics to see if he has issues with it before I go ahead and replace it, since it's already installed. My wife has talked to him a few times now and he's been very helpful. I chose...

Question on wall box for 50amp outlet

My wife and I are doing all the electrical in our new garage and bedroom addition, aside from the new panel, and I have a question on the wall boxes I have for my 50amp outlets. I wanted some extra room for wiring up the 6-2 romex so I went with a plastic 2 gang box. After I got back home and...

Curious on this as well as I'm about to pull the trigger on my lighting. Has anyone else installed this setup yet?

    Light Fixture Layout Collections

Hi PS. I'm getting ready to start wiring up the garage and would love to get a layout suggestion from you if possible. I've been watching your thread on the best fixture and based on that I'm now thinking of going with the LED set up. Aside for my own vehicle parking the main use for the...

    Spotless Rinse... That actually works...

The blade itself is fine, but it just takes that one spec of dust/dirt to get dragged across the paint by it to do some serious damage. Chamois are in the same boat, there is nowhere for the dirt particle to go if it gets lodged under it while drying. The best option is to use a blower or MF...

    Spotless Rinse... That actually works...

I've been using the CR System for for years and love it. As others have mentioned flow rate is important for getting the most out of it. If you want to know your water hardness prior to buying the system you can pick up a TDS meter for about $10, which shows your PPM. Once you know that you'll...

picts of your in-floor heat set ups.

Just finished pouring the floor last week and it will probably be a while little while before I connect everything else. It's just shy of 1200sq ft and I just ordered a closed loop package/system from Radiantec and plan to use a Takagi T-H3M-DV to heat it. 6" inch slab with 1/2" rebar on 2"...

Radiant in-floor heat question with Bendpak SP-7X flush mounted

Thanks for the info, Denwood. I recall looking at your build thread before, nice set up you have! :) Yes, I was planning on a 6" for the floor with the rebar spaced every 16", but 12" would probably make it easier to run the PEX so maybe I'll go the route. What did you mean by "You should take...

Radiant in-floor heat question with Bendpak SP-7X flush mounted

Hello, Looking for some feedback on doing the floor for my garage project. We should be pouring the slab in the next 2 weeks and I wanted to check if it was advised to also put 2" XPS under the slab where the lift pit/cutout will be? I won't be running PEX under there but figured I should still...

Questions on floor drain for new garage addition.

Actually I was referring to the boards over the Green Guard poly on the floor. ;) I'm setting up the radiant flooring too and I was looking at different poly insulation for the floor and noticed your setup. I would prefer a trench style drain but at this point I think the option PittsS1 listed...
