    Wayne 496-VL Compressor

I have an opportunity to pick up a Wayne compressor from my boss. Looking for any thoughts on it. At this point I don't know if it works or not. I can't find any information on that model either. The electric motor plate states it can be run on 110 or 220. Single stage. 1.5 HP I think it...

    New Water line-1/2" or 3/4"

If you are just extending the 1/2" feeding the shop, changing to 3/4" isn't going to change anything since the feed is still 1/2". 1/2" is fine for the extension.

Best option to run power to 2nd garage

I'll give them a call to see what the capacity of the transformer is and see what can be done with the meter. It would be nice to have a 200amp panel, but may be over kill for what I need. Was thinking that a second box could be added next to the meter that could be fed from the main 200amp...

Best option to run power to 2nd garage

This has been discussed many times, but each situation seems to be just a bit different. My house is well off the road, 1300'. I have 1000' of overhead power along my driveway to a transformer on the last pole. Power then runs down the pole, then about 60' under ground to the 200amp meter...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Put the plow back on the truck. Looking at 18" or so of snow over the next couple days. I'll believe it when I see it, but I'll be prepared anyway. Started on a redneck version of a maple syrup evaporator. Still got to burn it off a couple times, cut in the pan tray areas on top, and add a...

Is 53" thick insulation under Radiant Slab enough?

Found it. It is featured on DIY Network on a show called "Building Alaska". It's a 112' aluminum barge being built for a resort lodge. Good luck with your build.

Is 53" thick insulation under Radiant Slab enough?

Saw something like this on TV recently. Don't remember all of it, but is was an aluminum hull being built for a two story resort building. Crazy amount of aluminum welding. Is this the one featured on that TV show?
