    TopTul screwdrivers -- reviews?

Well, I tested them today. Not by driving any screws or anything. As I said, they look built to be abused and though the go-through handle says "chisel", I only got as far as "pry bar". And only to pry the pistons of my brake calipers open and the caps of the bleeder valves off. They...

    Tales of Fathers & Shops

My post is of my grandfather rather than my father and its not really a story as much as a few memories. When I was as young as 3, he would take me to the basement with him while he was working on stuff and let me try hand tools. I spent many afternoons just "making a board", meaning, pounding...

They are not in the screwdriver section of the site, but the master section. Last set at the bottom: http://wrenhandtools.com/master_sets/screwdriver_wrench_plier_sets_for_trolleys.html

They are the go-through style. Six sides on the shaft. I guess the handles are also hexagonal but they are rounded.

    Toptul Reviews

I placed a small, tryout order of screwdrivers and metric gear wrenches. Mike was a pleasure to deal with and we chatted about things other than tools as well as the details of my order. I wanted a 7 piece set but he didn't have one with the tray so I opted for the full metal box set. I don't...

    TopTul screwdrivers -- reviews?

I just got mine today. I haven't used them yet and don't have much to add to Muffin's review. They are of great quality compared to the mix-match collection they replaced. I wanted the hex shaft but told Mike that the go through style makes them too tempting to abuse. That steel knob on the...

    Milwaukee Safety Glasses

I'm not even that old (42) but my eyes are going. I picked up some bifocal safety glasses at the woodworking show and can't stand them. The line in the lens is right in my line of sight. Even moving them up or down makes them uncomfortable at best. I only use them for cutting and its a pain...

    Diamond Grinding Problems

I have not been able to get mine as rough as 80 grit sandpaper by grinding. I definitely took off the top layer and gave it a fresh surface, but it's probably closer to 150 or 200 grit. Will this be alright?

    Diamond Grinding Problems

I'm using a Bosch 1873-6 right now and it works great. It doesn't have an integrated dust shroud, but you can find them for about half what the 1773AK costs. I won't be needing this one when I'm done and will probably offer it for sale here in a few days. Which reminds me; back to the grind...

Great Deal for Anyone in the Puget Sound Area (WA)

I get my natural gas from PSE, but since I couldn't find any gas lights, I went out to the east side for the Lithonias.

Great Deal for Anyone in the Puget Sound Area (WA)

The coupons do not work in the city of Seattle. The 1st ave HD doesnt take them, reason being, Seattle is serviced by Seattle City Light, not PSE. I'll be driving back out to Redmond.

    To Texture or Not...

I just had texture done. My garage had taped but unsanded sheetrock when I bought it. I built a closet for the furnace and water heater and had the whole thing finished. The guys that did it said smooth would be a lot more expensive. I figured, it's a garage. And the rest of the house is...

Great Deal for Anyone in the Puget Sound Area (WA)

PSE put out new coupons. The ones in the Redmond Home Depot were for $15 instead of $20 but they are good til the end of the year.
