    Where to vertically vent?

my local building code for appliance vent height was at least 24" above the structure 3 ft away. I studied all local codes, and built to them or better. Don't want to give that insurance man any reason to deny a fire claim, god forbid. Or upset the inspector.

    Where to vertically vent?

First off, look up you local building codes and follow those. With B-vent you can be 1in from combustibles,, but that doesn't take into account distance from overhangs on the roof side of things. Did you buy the vent install kit? Are you saying that with the unit strut installed as it is...

Beacon Morris 45k Garage Heater Install

Sure you could do that,, then maybe just mount a wall fan blowing back towards the work bench from opposite side of shop. The 45* will also have you having to hit 3 studs in the ceiling. instead of 2 going straight. Here's how I hung my Big Maxx, on an angle using 3/8's rod's.

Big maxx vs. Hot dawg floor height

Hmmm not sure why the difference,, But I would defer to you local code. I do believe the 8ft is just to make sure anything that fits in your garage door, wouldn't hit the heater while going under it. Kinda goofy thou.

Mr. Heater Big Max propane usage?

I found this: A burner or appliance rated at 60,000 BTU/hr (with burner turned on to "High") will burn 60,000 BTU every hour which means consumption of fuel is one gallon of propane every 1.53 hours. (92,000 BTU/Hr / 60,000 BTU/Hr = 1.53 hours that one gallon would last Providing the burner...
