I believe the 6000 lb rated capacity still carries a hefty safety factor, so I'm sure you are WELL below the actual limits of the lift.

what about running a dehumidifier constantly in your shop/garage? many of them have hoses you can run right into a drain or outside somehow so you'll never have to empty the tank. Plus most have dials where you can adjust the humidity level and it will cycle on and off automatically.
