    Kennedy roll cab-opinions?

Here's a generic image of my Kennedy box,it's the Napa SS series, but it is identical to the Kennedy Maintenance Pro,minus the emblem. It's been a great box, highly recommended. I gave $2400 for it brand new at Napa,it was shipped direct from the Kennedy plant in Van Wert Ohio.

    Mobile toolbox/workstation

Having a service truck isn't always as cut and dried as some people would like to belive. I had to overcome my Katrina tool dellima with a portable tool chest, and I had a F-550 4x4 service truck. Being a road technician of any kind presents so many more challenges than you will face being a full...

    Mobile toolbox/workstation

I used one of the boxes in the Amazon ad a few years back, while working on heavy equipment on the Katrina gulf coast. I was like you,I got tired of walking back and forth to my service rig. It held up fine, and that was dragging it through and over hurricane debris to the vehicle I was working...

    double flaring tool question

I bought an OEM double flaring tool set at Auto Zone about 5 years back,no telling how many feet of tubing I have ran with it,and it's held up great. I think I gave like $20 or $25 for it. As long as the buttons and the flaring screw are made of good quality steel,a cheaper flaring set will be...

    My small Snap-On rant

I have a similar problem back here,my long-time Snap-On dealer called it quits back last year. There is a new guy that took over his route, but he is completely unreliable, pretty much shows up when he wants to,and he doesn't seem to want to very often. Most of my friends have completely given up...

    Armstrong Maxx Flex Lineup

I have a few of their older pre-Danaher tools, not sure about their true mfr. either. I have several of their newer ratchets, and sets of metric and standard long ratcheting wrenches, absolutely awesome. I'm also very pleased with the sets of impact sockets of theirs I have too. They also...

    best 1/2 impact

+1 for the MG725,I had one up until I lost it (and a good % of my tool inventory, and some other things I won't go into) in a fire last year. It was without a doubt, the best impact I've ever used. I have since replaced almost all of my inventory,I have the Napa 1/2" composite impact now, which I...

    Armstrong Maxx Flex Lineup

They could shape it like a sweet potato if they wanted to,if Armstrong makes it,it'll be a darn good ratchet!:lol_hitti Just speaking from my experiences with them,I've never had a single regret,or waranty/return.

    Armstrong Maxx Flex Lineup

Good to see another industrial mechanic in here! If Armstrong did make one,it would be just another great tool from a company that I've never EVER got a lemon from!

    Williams China Tools

I have a set of imported Williams stubby ratchet wrenches, and they have been SOLID. And not all of Williams product line is imported, their website clearly marks what is imported and what isn't. Back last year,I bought a flex-head 1/4" dr ratchet from an e-bay retailer,it is US made and had...

What fluid or oil do you use to wipe down your tools?

I buy the cheap Wal-Mart spray lube by the case, just for tool cleaning, and it's worked well for me. It smells just like Liquid Wrench,(it probably is),98 cents a can, tough to beat.

    Affordable But Good Snap-Ring Pliers?

Several years back I bought an eight piece set from Napa(KD Us made),and they have served me very well. For the bigger snap rings I've got an old Proto locking style plier.

I'm a little miffed with Danaher

They are two completely issues, skfarmer,I just made the comment on the basis of unexplainable buiness decisions. I wasn't knocking the SK tools themselves whatsoever. After the SK warranty issue left me scratching my head, this GW decision left me puzzled as well. By all means,I'm a SK fan,I just...

I'm a little miffed with Danaher

The thing about all of this that I can't figure out is,why did Danaher just suddenly decide to cut off sales to the UK (and whoever else)? And then ban international shipping by their other retailers? That makes no sense to me at all, especially in the current economic state of the global market...

Post pics of your striking/slugging wrenches

I have just a few of assorted sizes that I used as a constructuion equipment tech. I don't use them a whole lot anymore now that I'm back into plant maintenance again though. They are kind of pricey, but as far as durabilty goes, they are damn near indestructible. At least I haven't ever so much...

Parts washer - what to use?

While it is certainly not non-flammble or odorless, the best stuff I've ever used was naptha. I don't care how greasy/nasty/filthy a part was, after a few minutes in there,it would be as clean as it was when it was new. But it is some pretty nasty stuff.

Need Quick Opinion on Vertical Mill

There are scores of different imported mills out there, some are just plain junk, some are as fine of a machine as you could ask for. I agree with Erodz, make sure it takes R8 collets, that would definitely be a deal-breaker for me. It's hard to assign a value to a mill that you cannot be around to...
