Might be a silly question but why are you using a chalk line on the floor ? Wouldn’t you mark out top and bottom plates and work of them?

I did all the Poly , insulation ,rebar and pex in my 32x40 heated portion of my build. It took about 16 hours working alone to get it done I zip tied my pex to the rebar every couple of feet. Where the pex comes up through the concrete I used pvc electrical sweeps to protect the pex. Plan...

The sections are 10’ except for one along the back wall which will be 11’............I am building this with minimal help so I am trying to keep things manageable..... if it wasn’t for the 2 foot high frost wall it would be much easier to stand things up

So things have been slowly progressing...... Insulation down, Floor drain and oil water separator installed, Rebar installed And today my concrete finisher got the slab poured, Only the one picture as I am halfway across the country on temporary duty standing sentinel at our National War Memorial.

And spring is finally here..........had a busy week with leveling and compacting the sub grade had the EPS foam for under the slab delivered as well as all the rebar for the slab. Under slab plumbing is roughed in and got a start on getting the insulation down..... The floor drain should be...

Well things have come to a standstill for the winter.......got the forms stripped and insulated the outside of the footing wall with 4 1/2 inches of EPS insulation..... Looking forward to spring to continue with the build. My Brother in law had this sign made for the new shop...... It is 2.5...

I picked up a Paslode framing Nail gun that usually sells for 700 plus dollars for a grand total of 140.80 taxes in..........

I am in the process of building a new shop...... The heated portion will be 32x40 with a radiant heated floor..... My question is this... I will be insulating under the slab with 3.5 inched of rigid foam and on the outside of the 4 foot frost wall with 4.5 inches of the same. Is there a way...

for the part of the line that isn't below the frost line why not install some rigid insulation directly on top of the line......... it will effectively give you the same frost protection that the deeper fill does on the rest of the line........

Footers ,Frost walls and posts poured.........pump truck was here at 0730 and gone at 1050........21 meters of concrete .........my estimate was pretty close and even with what Is lost using the pump I had just enough left over to place a small slab in my Atv storage shed
